So with this new update, is the server still using texture packs and stuff like that or is it all its own executable?

This is so sick. I expected the readding of Nether and Swarms, but wondered how that would constitute "The Biggest Update" in Wynncraft, seeing as how 2.0 completely reworked combat, but dang. Dang dang dang. This blew all my expectations out of the water, into the stratosphere. Can't wait for 2.1!!

 

With these increasing changes from vanilla minecraft, Wynncraft is closer to being its own executable. Who knows what the future brings...

COOLEST UPDATE EVER

 

At first, my biggest concern with this was that in revamping the interfaces, music, and overall visual design, the old aesthetic of the game would be lost. The low-budget soundtrack, animations, and plugins had tons of charm to me, and were a big part of why I stuck with this server. Even if some of that does go away, I'm really happy to see that the blocky retro-fantasy feel is still there, while also pushing the boundaries of what can be done in Minecraft. Great job to all the devs, and I'm really excited for the update to come out

 

Can any member of the CT confirm if the Lootrun mobs are also getting buffed?

I'm totally in favor of the general buff, but the LR mobs already get pretty strong very fast after a few rounds, specially in SE.

I fear that if they do get a buff the LR will be too hard and people will use warrior even more than ATM.

 

they wouldn't exactly be able to claim "no mods needed" if you had to use an entirely different executable file just to play the server. and it's not texture packs, they're called resource packs for a reason - they change a whole lot more than just textures. but the models probably aren't a resource pack thing, i've no idea what the back-end looks like but i'm sure there's some server-side plugin/coding magic allowing it to look like that alongside the resource pack. you can certainly get a similar result with resource packs but those need optifine or similar mods to allow the custom animations to be visible.

 

Minecraft allow 3D textures, and that what this all is. Just a really big 3D model.

 

honestly it's a little hard to believe that this is the same game i played back in 2015/2016 with how far it's come. i still can't get over the giant shown in the trailer because like holy shit is this still minecraft???
