flying timing

Working on learning how to fly, but i just cant get my timing right
Ive spent abt 30 mins so far, and ive broken my legs twice
Ive watched both looni and teacookie's guides and I just can't get it right. Is there something im missing or just more practice

What part of the timing?

 

hopping with lacerate
according to video, i want to activate when i hear the 3rd slash, but it doesnt really boost me much

 

lacerate -> hop -> dash lol
You might want to hop a little bit earlier since server ping/lag is fun
You can also Dash first upwards for free momentum
Just spam hop, if your cps is high enough, you can lacerate -> hop -> dash -> hop -> lacerate -> hop
So basically, get another spell inbetween hop 1s cd.

like im trying to remember timing for lacerate and hop and the boss below you just dips and its like what

Fly above
Dash->Multi as the momentum from piro goes up. and then repeat xd

 

Practice on your housing since it’s ping dependent

 

There’s also another trick to get off the ground more easily; if you use lacerate on the ground then dash right before the second jump, it’ll give you a higher vertical boost than either individual boost would. It’s mostly useful for scaling large structures or skipping vertical parkour, but it’s still something worth knowing about.

 

Yea that's what I do for parkour lol. Lacarate Ground - Dash - face in direction - hop - laracarte -dash. easy parkour skips
