Media Items aren't stacking

Sometimes when I try stacking an item in my bank it shoots back into my inventory. This happens with my powders and my dungeon keys. I've tried restarting my game but nothing works. Anyone know a fix?

 

Hey, yes this is quite annoying. Theres 2 things you can do to try and fix this:
- Put both item stacks in your bank and relog
- Put both item stacks in a guild bank and take them out again

A small suggestion: Rotate the powder layout in your bank by 90*, this will fill up the space in a cleaner way (imo) as there are 6 rows and 6 tiers of each element of powder

 

I've tried relogging with it in my bank, and my guild isn't high enough level for a bank :(

Powders from item bombs in particular are notorious for not being able to stack with "normal" powders due to Minecraft nbt data shenanigans (iirc). Usually your best bet on the powders is to just grab a few extras to upgrade them to next tier so that they remain stackable.
Keys can sometimes have the same problem but disconnecting/relogging (/class isn't enough) usually fixes it... somehow...

 

Okay, thank you for the info! I'm mainly having my problem with lvl 1 water powders, so it's probably the ones from the new elemental exercise quest

 

iirc keys from the quests dont stack with the keys from killed guardians
