Question about warrior paladin spell vs meelee

I started playing this game a week ago and Im currently warrior paladin lvl 57. I'm not exactly sure what paladin meelee/spell mean. I was also wondering which one i should go for if I play like a more tanky/buffer character. Im currently wearing suchimu(helmet). marius prison(chest), molten greaves(legs) , anchoryl (boots), strobelight(necklace), develish(braclet), and brass knuckle and decoder ring for my accessory. sorry if this is too long

also using fierte as my weapon

 

spell means you use spells as your main damage source
melee means you use your main attack as your main damage source
- tierstack/tstack: super fast attack speed for dps
- rawstack: start with a super fast weapon and add a bunch of melee damage with equipment
- heavy melee/hmelee: super slow attack speed, but high damage per hit
hybrid means you use both.
