Guide Lore Quest Guide

Previous thread for this got locked for some reason so made a new one to keep updated ^^

This is a quest list for people trying to narrow down the quests they'd like to do.
I'd say play all quests on your first play through obviously, but for a replay and you're looking to play less quests or specific quests in certain order or looking for purely lore based quests- that's what this is for!

A lot of quest lists haven't been updated recently, so any changes due to prerequisites or any new quests haven't been marked on some of the more popular lists, so I'm keeping this one up to date for any who may be looking for it.
(currently replaying all quests, so if I missed any details or made a mistake somewhere in here just let me know and I'll update it!)

Remove P from Beyond The Grave and Haven Antiquity

 

The P for Beyond The Grave is there in reference to the hourglass room, it hasn't been addressed in another quest yet but it's clearly a set up for a later plot point, considering the whole "this hourglass shows how much time the world has left" and with it visibly being nearly empty-
For Haven Antiquity it's there since the end of the quest has to do with creatures tied to the Dern Beast
If either of these quests gets revamped or we get confirmation of them no longer being related to those big plot points, then I'll remove the P- for right now though it makes the most sense to keep it ^^

 

If we wanted to do a big setup for something we wouldn't have the only hint of that be in a joke quest.
Haven Antiquity is archaic, and while the creatures present are related to Dern (not the Dern Beast, just Dern), that's not enough justification for it to be labelled as relevant to the story, especially when its mere presence ends up besmirching the lore (for examples, zombies shouldnt be present in any capacity there).

 

I get where you're coming from with that, but until the settings around Dern are fully explored and we get full confirmation on some more aspects with Death and the hourglasses, I'll be leaving it up a possible plot points ^^ quests are always skippable anyways, so if somebody doesn't quite follow the exact line of story that me and quite a few other players have agreed make the most sense on then they don't have to follow the list exactly, just like i mentioned at the top of this post^

ah damn- shame about beyond the grave, considering there's quite a few plot heavy lines of dialogue in that- i suppose is haven antiquity is simply too outdated at this point that makes more sense, if it's ever addressed again I'll see about adding those two back in, but I'll go ahead and remove them then ^^

 

For Beneath The Depths you get Abysso Galoshes btw

 

Wait I think I get why beyond the grave isn't canon, Worid, who isn't dead, oh and Referick who also isn't dead, are in the hour glasses for some reason. I guess it really is a joke quest lol. Does that mean the player was just unconscious the whole time? Though there is a secret discovery that has Death himself in it, I think it's in the Nessak Tundra.

 

Can't wait for A Hunter's Calling part 2 that will feature the long awaiting scene with oiled Bak'al
