Honestly, the "placed on the tile" bit is the most confusing to me
I can't think of any item that matches that description and can also be found on an island.

Not from an island, and I personally wouldn't consider that quest to be a "grim trial"
I guess you could call colossal rat a "beast" but it doesn't really fit
I was thinking future selchar from that old santa quest, but again, no item that you "place on a tile"
Could it be those things you get from those mobs from the galleon's graveyard quest?
you know, you go to that island, kill mobs
use mob drops to summon a stronger mob, which drops an item
repeat a few times to get the map piece

As it is, this prompt could apply from anything between misadventure on the sea to fantastic voyage, and combined with the fact that the ocean is probably the most obscure place in wynncraft makes this prompt quite hard

It was never said it had to be an ocean, just an isle. That could be anything from cluck cluck to sky islands to Kuudra fight from HSB (crimson isle). Ahmsord is on an isle, all islands can be isles, anything in the middle of something can be an isle.
