What methods did you use to confirm this? Last time I checked (which I will admit was a while ago) leading the Slingra Sheep to other areas for non-quest purposes was explicitly stated to be against server rules, when Shots got told off for taking our beloved Sheepie on an adventure. Maybe the quest's been updated since, but are you completely sure that this is the case?

i think it has been updated - i remember it being hostile before but going back it isn't even a mob anymore (or at least not a typical one, it works more like an npc)

I've taken a far lighter approach with criticism of how I conduct myself, but we just aren't looking for class suggestions. When players aren't told that a suggestion wouldn't be taken into consideration because it's either not something we are going to source from the community -- like new classes or map expansions -- or just wouldn't work out, they usually assume that their suggestion is being considered. I used to watch players bump posts and ask about when things would be added for stuff that didn't really even fit in that channel, which just promoted more suggestions in those veins. Nowadays that's almost entirely gone, almost all posts in General Suggestions fit the guidelines.

I know a lot of mobs because I made those mobs, but just because I can tell you all the design philosophy behind my creations and the lore ideas I had when creating them, and other stuff like that doesn't then mean I'm pretending I know what every mob in the game is like. I remember when I last played the quest in 1.19, the sheep didn't despawn and was a hostile entity, and I feel it's a bit harsh to assume I'm trying to be some haughty queen and have done grievous wrongs because I wasn't aware a mob was updated.

I'm pretty uncomfortable with getting into the details because it's my personal life, but I'm not just some dickhead trying walk around the world offending people and being rude. I understand the perception of me as that because of how I conducted myself before I was informed and realized the negative affects of stuff I didn't understand could be hurtful, but it's pretty hard when it feels like that stigma is something staked through my heart and makes all human errors I make an opportunity to snide to me. I'm sorry I hurt people, it wasn't my intention, and I didn't even understand at the time how I could even be hurting anyone with what I perceived as trying to be helpful, but I can't keep dealing with living in the shadow of that.

I acknowledge that you've grown more mindful of your tone, especially compared to how you conducted yourself back then. I know this isn't about me or my opinions, but I'm proud of the progress you've made. I'm sure you'll soon regain the trust of the players as you learn more about how to give criticisms more constructively.

However, none of our reactions were unjustified. You were awfully hurtful and non-constructive, and it will take time for players to believe that you won't be as harsh as back then. I want you to recognize and respect that your actions had consequences, and that it will take time before the community learns to trust you.

As for a more specific feedback relevant to this post, perhaps try something like "Oh, I didn't know the mob was changed" instead of going for a more defensive tone like what you did.

You could also go for a more curious approach when dealing with situations like these, asking questions like "Isn't that mob hostile? If so, then this would be a player-made invasion, which is against the rules," trusting the players that they have read the rules and know they're not doing anything wrong, leading to a more friendly conversation.

Being a participant of the conversation, you have the power to change the mood, for better or for worse. That's how you watch your tone.

yikers did i miss something when i was inactive?always though duesphage was just a bit serious and stern, not mean or agressive.
Might just be the fact that I talk to people who work with computer science who don’t tend to be the most chill when talking about technical things
Might also be that I’m naturally pessimistic (so I think similar thoughts) but less blunt with how I say stuff
TLDR I think duesphage is fine, lay off on her

Also someone should bring the sheep to EO

I was already well aware that it does no damage to players. What I was asking was whether it was player-unique or world-unique.
