Arguments for Wynncraft Superiority

There is kid at my school, who has played apparently hundreds of hours on both Wynncraft and lowpixel groundblock. He keeps saying that wynncraft is mid and HSB is a good server. I kept trying to persuade him, and he kept saying stuff like "oh your comparing a WHOLE server to one GAMEMODE on a server" or showing me how much money HSB makes or how much staff or players it has. He wont listen to the fact that popularity, money, or success do not determine how good a server is. He also denies the fact that if not for Hypixel network already being a wildly popular thing, nobody would ever play HSB. I think its obvious that if, on the same day in 2014, both Wynncraft, and, as its own thing, HSB, launched, Wynncraft would be more successful today. He basically will not listen to any arguments about the actual content of the server, and instead keeps being like "ohh HSB has more staff, more players, and more money, so it doesnt matter that one is a prison server with mmorpg aspects, and one is a mmorpg with optional grinding. How can i convince him of the sacred truth.

I know that the real thing to do would be just not argue with him, but i think it would be fun.

Does he like fortnite? If he doesn't just keep on insisting he does because of how popular it is.

Also point out how Wynncraft is better at making minigames then the literal minigame server is (At least in my opinion).

 

Update: he says "youre just repeating the same arguments over and over again. HSB has more hours of gameplay and its on a 55 million dolar network" as if that means anythin. I said "do you count each hour of tree chopping as seperate gameplay?" bros like "noone chops trees anymore

thats true, although i grant bedwars, skywars, duels is pretty fun. The problem is that that playerbase all went to skyblock and the only reason HSB is popular is because of its already on Hypixel!

Its hard when he walks by me playing and is like "mid server:

 

ngl he sounds like a kid and you probably shouldn't be too concerned about his opinions because at his age he will defend the thing he enjoys to the death because he cannot admit that the thing he enjoys is not the greatest single invention mankind has ever made.
but just tell him that the wynncraft map is a feat of artistic excellency and that wynncraft is esentially an entire standalone videogame like world of warcraft but it just happens to have been made entirely within minecraft.
also that the fact that hypixel skyblock makes so much money and has so many staff diminishes its achievement because it has far more resources than wynncraft does with which to create a gamemode. the fact that the biggest minecraft server in the world (i think) can create that is the expected result of its success, whereas wynncraft has developed into such a complete game over many years with comparatively fewer resources.
basically hypixel is expected to have a good gamemode with depth in its mechanics because it's a massive server, whereas wynncraft still created something far deeper and more impressive with less

comparing hypixel skyblock to wynncraft because they both have mmo-esque progression is like comparing bedwars to overwatch because they both have pvp. one is a full-fledged game and the other is a sub-mode with far shallower gameplay and progression systems that runs on one of the most popular servers of all time. if you want to counter his "well hypixel has more players and money and staff" just point out that a thing being popular does not equate to that thing being good. pokemon is the most profitable media franchise of all time but i certainly wouldn't say that pokemon SV is a better game than celeste just because pokemon sold far more. (for the record i love pokemon and played the hell out of SV but im not going to ignore its various issues)

How much money it makes? So you're in favor of the illicit drug trade? That sure makes a lot of money.
How many people use it? So you support the Salem Witch burnings? Those had popular support behind them.

Yeah i just want to make sure you realise that those stupid things are what the other guy is saying and not me? You get it. I agree with you and I might make these arguments. But I think content does matter.

So he's saying how much more devtime and budget and players hsb has, but when you call it out for being bad he just says "It's only a game mode so that doesn't count"

I'd say at least half of hypixel's development goes into hsb anyway
