counterpoint, dark clothing emphasises lighter hair by adding contrast, light clothing on light hair just mushes everything together and makes it all blend in. it's why i only wear dark greens and browns and blues because my bright orange hair clashes with anything brighter

yep, i would give maxie a much more neutral colour scarf, like a brown, keep the red coat but make it a deeper red and make the goggles a shinier gold as they just look like yellow sunglasses like that and not gold-framed goggles. or if you do keep the green scarf again make it a deeper green at least, but a deep blue might work better to match the eyes while not being too obtrusive though i'm struggling to picture it so it might look bad too

 

I think blue/green would fit him nicely, yeah! It would also contrast with Rhay's warmer colors, which is nice. I also think that making the color of the clothes less saturated would be great, since right now they draw the eye too much which isn't great with Maxie's white hair.

But yeah it's pretty hard to imagine it lol
