A Marauder's Dues Quest Bug?

I dropped into Volmor's magic trash and defeated the magical disturbances, but I couldn't seem to see the green grid that I was supposed to use to place the coloured cores. Googled some images and it looks like green sparkles as a grid between the "Confirm" check mark and "Clear mode" X mark. Is anyone else having this issue?

 

Stupid question for me to ask, but do you have your particles on?
