Unfortunately, the meteor was made of antimatter (so was the rocket btw). Therefore, instead of rebounding off of the slingshot, it destroys the slingshot along with the rest of the city.

 

If it's made of antimatter, then it was destroyed the moment it was launched, by interacting with real matter particles in space.

 

It was a pretty big rock and space is mostly empty, enough of it survived to reach the city.

 

When you made it, it was close enough to collide with you and destroy both it and you

 

Why would it collide with me? I'm not going to stand right next to it, so there's no reason for it to come anywhere near me. Also I made it using science rather than any magic powers I have, so I didn't come close when I was making it or the rocket engine.

There's a bit of a plot twist.
You see, before arriving at the aforementioned point in time, the clone I sent ahead in future send another clone ahead, to the future. Specifically, she sent a clone to this precise point. The clone (which itself sent a clone into the future, a while back) appears in the middle of space, and gets hit by the meteor before it reaches the city. The entire thing is destroyed, and does not hurt the city.

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Doesn't this violate the 'Everything Got Reset' post that was made after it?"
Good question! Well, you see, this clone arrived here, in the future (from the past's perspective), which is after everything got reset, before everything got reset. The thing is, though - the events happening right now weren't reset, because now is after the reset, so the clone arriving here didn't get reset, even if me sending the clone did - that didn't happen, but the clone arriving did happen.

Before the meteor hits the city, I fire a Really Dense Bullet from my Magic Gun. This hits the meteor, and they have equal masses, so they explode. The explosion hits Earth, but rather than damaging it, just sends it flying out of orbit. I make a new Sun and find some other planets, and still own the city (but also the Sun)

I thought it would be unaffected by the reset because the reset only went back to the beginning of the thread.

Anyway, I sneak into the city, disabling any defenses you've installed and going unnoticed by everyone. I then exit the city, leaving now trace of my presence except a pineapple on the floor of your throne room.

And? Even if it's canon, that doesn't mean it would get reset any differently than this thread. And the other thread already concluded before this thread began, so a reset to the beginning of this thread shouldn't affect it at all.
