SPOILER What are your hopes and worries for Fruma?

Hopes,
Lore that actually MAKES SENSE,
The fruma qween being a very hard boss at the end of a quest line (resistance making perhaps?)
No large power jump from lv 100 lv 120,
That the citizens of fruma have very little knowledge of everything happening outside the walls,

Fears,
fruma Queen being a raid or dungeon boss,
Derm corruption in fruma,
Shallow lore

 

I hope the Fruman queen is hot

 

I've mentioned this several times before but as unlikely as it will be, I really wished that Fruma's atmosphere, people and architecture would just have really heavy Asian themes and styles, particularly those from Ancient Japan. I know that Sakura Dojo is a mini region with something like that but it would be cool for me to step into Fruma and just see plains of steaming lakes and springs and cherry blossom trees, massive towering pagodas and torii gates in the distance signifying large Fruman cities with soldiers in the style of stuff like samurai or whatnot. That, combined with whatever style twist that the builders and staff team and decorate this already existing theme with it would be an amazing sight to behold, I'm sure.

Again, like I said above, low chance, but I've been dreaming of this for ages now. Can't wait for Fruma regardless!

 

I hope that they add a new lootrun, raid, and dungeon for Fruma. I LOVE LOOTRUNNING!!!
I fear that they are going to keep soul points in the game

 

i hope that to unlock it you have to do some quest to open a door or some fancy thingamobob

Hopes:

• an endgame activity
• the new raid doesn't depreciate TNA
• that whispers i've heard of item power not going up are correct. horizontal progression ftw. let the level cap never rise again, or at least only be a marker of "how much of the game you've completed" a la gw2 mastery level
• dense, 3-dimensional fruma. i know that there's a lot of space, but good use of verticality would increase that space even more.
• Nice storyline
• New dungeon. two new dungeons?? :))))) <3<3<3<3<3

Fears:

• That the queen of fruma is just a villainous villain for villany's sake. like sure let her be evil, but let her be interesting.
• A looming, ever-present Dern. I know that i trash the War of the Realms constantly, but i do think that it's cool! And I really hope that it has some impact on Fruma's story! but i don't want it to be Fruma's story. The War of the Realms is coolest when it's simmering in the background. I would like it if Dern looms, just a bit out of the way is all.
• The Fruman Royals and La Résistance are the only organizations of note in the province
  
• that a Nice storyline is the only story told in Fruma
• nothing is done about player power. please nerf us all
• Corkus is involved somehow. Let Corkus be its own thing please. They left Fruma. please please please don't drag them back in

The corruption war lore feel so outdated and doesn't make sense.
Living corrupteds and powerful corrupted monsters are rare. Most of the time there are only weak zombies and skeletons that can be wiped off by single attack by a soldier with 1/10 power of the player, considering the player can solo kill dern beast's eye without ease.
If Gavel and Corkus sent actually powerful people (e.g. Lari(she overpowers Bak'al), or just any dogun) to instead of using the inhumane golems, thousands of people won't suffer.

The idea of it being "The Nether" and the archaic lore surrounding that is outdated.

No. Just not at all. firstly, Lari overpowers Bak'al when she is in The Realm or Light, right next to The Nexus of Light, right next to her God. That is Lari at her zenith, where she is right next to the source of her power. Secondly, level doesn't translate to lore. A level 80 citizen is no stronger than a level 1 citizen. Also while Doguns are powerful, they're not immune to corruption, and if you did The Breaking Point and read the old books in the library in Kandon Beda, you'd know that Doguns are vulnerable outside of their home of the Molten Heights, to the point that a drizzle of rain is a hazard to their life

Assuming that this is meant to say "the player can solo DB's eye with ease", as I said previously, gameplay doesn't translate to lore. Your ability as a player to minmax and create a broken build that lets you deal millions of damage doesn't equate to the character you play as being some overpowered demigod

 

Wait I never realized the "stronger in their home" thing with the doguns. I guess you're right.

 

It might not be strictly "stronger at home", but basically everywhere besides MH is much colder and more wet/humid (i.e. as Deus said, dangerous)

looks cool with infinite render distance mods
at least one new world event
new WF items (guardian+idol paladin my beloved)

not much new content
more non-gimmick mythics added
even less people play NoL

Fruma is another basin again can we stop making basins we have barriers stop making basins

May I inquire as to what a "basin" is?

 

would you like us to have the edges of the map be just a flat barrier wall with abyss on the other side?

Fears : that the fruma queen ends up being a raid, words cannot explain how disappointed I was when the culmination of the realm of light quest line was 3 minigames and a boss. I want more fallen factory-like dungeons !!!!
