Is anyone else having their YouTube crack down on adblockers?

I got some pop up when scrolling through youtube saying that it thinks im using an adblocker and that theyre not allowed on youtube. If anyone else is using an adblocker, do you also get this popup?

 

Can't say I'm having the same issue, though maybe it'll happen later for me

 

It's happening to me, but I just click the small x in the upper right hand corner of the popup and laugh at youtube

 

Now I'm getting the videoplayer will be blocked after 3 videos msg. Anyone know a workaround to this? (i'm currently using the latest version of ublock origin without any filters on chrome)

I sent feedback the first time but now I just do that.

 

Youtube is currently trying to force people who use adblockers to start watching ads. I know that Ublock is doing a pretty good job of updating to stop those popups and continue blocking ads, though.

 

Yea Ublock Origin has been the GOAT so far with being one step ahead the anti-adblock. I haven't got the 'no mor adblock' msg for about a week iirc.

 

I started getting the popups some time ago, so I installed Ublock Origin and they mostly stopped. Switched to Firefox, now I'm not getting them at all. Call me crazy but I think we might perhaps need a radically diffferent economic system that does not make me want to violently slam the face every one of Google's executive officers and shareholders into exposed reinforced concrete

 

Intermittently turning the adblocker off for a couple of videos then reenabling it has worked pretty well for me so far.

 

Use the Brave browser. It's chrome without the spyware and has an ad blocker that isn't detected by YouTube's sensors

 

If it is still appearing, you may also copy and paste a Tampermonkey script, which is an addon available for most browsers out there. For me it works perfectly fine :)
