I think it’s that tasim had a strong connection to fruma in recover the past

 

I also think that is actually a possibility but I really hope it won't be like that in the end. That is because it would be very cool to see both Tasim again in Fruma as well as some more backstory on both Lucio and Elphaba

 

or maybe he got hit on the head by a trunkstump pebbleflinger and got his ass devoured by orcs. He was only level 30 something.

 

That's cool. I know the player can beat up bak'al ( because the player beat bob and he beat bak'al) and could beat orphion ( I did kick his a- in the raid solo, but don't know how much health orphion actually has, the player just knocked the parasite off him). The Dern Beast , as stated by Farcor, is unkillable. so is the game unbeatable?

Yeah I'd rather them flesh out Lucio but like, they also got rid of that one other npc from Recover the Past quest so I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same for AJB.

 

I hope he's gonna be part of the fruma raid as a scripted death near the end (then I can see him die multiple times every day as I grind the raid for le soullessly)

But anyways, despite it being a possibility I doubt they'll replace Lucio, he's a much more established character in the community than that Edwin (which I didn't even remember). If they wanted Tasim to just replace Lucio instead of being an important character for Fruma there's no reason why they wouldn't have already done it in the 2.0.3 update

 

The reason is dev time. They already worked on the early game quests in 2.0.3. They didn't even add or change other possibly relevant quests after Recover the Past which is when Tasim is supposed to meet with you in Gavel. I'm not saying that they will replace Lucio with Tasim; I don't know that. However it's still a possibility that isn't far-fetched at all.

I believe that AJB needs to be adjusted a bit following the new quests involving Aledar, however I do agree that they shouldn't replace Lucio with Tasim. I think it would be incredibly unfair for both of the characters, especially with how underdeveloped and unrecognized their stories are compared to Aledar, who has always been bound to die in the story.

Heck, they might even make Aledar not die in AJF.

 

It would also be cool if we got some new reoccurring characters

I doubt they would do that, it’s a massive plot beat and a huge part of the story, losing one of your closest friends definitely shows how powerful Dern is and why it nerds to be stopped

I would be is happy if we got another quest with Lucio, like that one quest with Elphaba

 

In my opinion when they are gonna add Fruma there will be very few to no changes to the existing middle and late game quests. I don't think that when Tasim says that he's going to Gavel he's foreshadowing the fact that him and the player are gonna meet anytime soon (and with that I mean before lvl 104). I think that for introducing Fruma they are gonna add a lvl 104+ quest which starts somewhere in high level areas of Gavel (SI most likely, maybe Jofash Dock), where we meet again Tasim and then go to Fruma together after he tells us discoveries he made in his adventures.

But yeah maybe they're most likely to do something more similar to what you said as it would be weird to go from SI to SE and then very quickly back again to SI only for few lines of dialogue. Or maybe we'll meet Tasim again in Wynn or even in Corkus.

Truth is, nobody actually knows except for the ct, and they might even do something vastly different from this speculation.

I personally wonder if it’ll start in the Detlas Barracks, as that’s where a lot of the new quests with Aledar and Tasim start, and would be a reasonable place to meet
On another random note, in AJB we were sent on a mission into the SE by the military I think, and we haven’t actually reported to them, so they have no idea what happened, so it’s also possible that Tasim could meet us in Lutho, having heard of our disappearance and gone in after us

I imagine instead of actually killing the Dern Beast, we just weaken it enough to the point where it can’t really do much, because you can’t really kill the literal manifestation of darkness

he is also cow and bakal he does this all at once using his immense knowledge of the force
