Random theory time. Tasim is gonna die in Fruma. Because let’s face it the whole Recover the Past thing where he says he’s going away for a long time but he’ll see the player again basically sets up the fact that we’ll probably be going into Fruma with Tasim, or at the very least see him in Fruma.

And I feel like he’ll there because Aledar died on the quest with us, and it would be fitting if the same happened to Tasim, or at least it would feel weird if he survived. I don’t really feel like he should go to Dern with the player, as that should probably be something they face alone, or (partially) with Lari..? Not too sure if she’s alive or not.

    Tl;dr
Imo, Tasim will die heroically in Fruma, maybe after getting his memories back or something and realising he is still ultimately a soldier of Wynn and sacrificing himself so the player can kill the queen or something.

My headcanon is fruma accidently helped dern become powerful enough to manipulate gavel into hurting the light via corruption transmutation to darkness magic (please ask me about it), meaning that you will have to go through realm of war next (which is revealed to be your purpose, a warrior made by the queen that immune to corrupt insanity, and actually bakal was meant for this original purpose, but he got corrupted, and became ally to darkness) and at end of realm of war, you battle bak'al and decayed lari, the transmutation altar acts like a backdoor to realm of dern. ASK ME MORE

Oo interesting. Similar to a theory I had about the player being a creation of the battle between light and dark, similar to the corruption. I like the idea about having to go through the realm of war, it’s a nice way of incorporating it into the story

I mean, Bak'al is married to Fruma Queen, thats why Fruma isnt getting attacked by the corruption

I also wonder if there is some kind of boss in the Realm of war, like a heart of corruption or something. It is hinted, as the source that Theorick is looking for in Fate of the Fallen and the it that Garoth mentions in the old Lost Sanctuary quest (removed now which is a shame as there was a lot of cool lore about the corruption in it) but I’d still count it as canon personally

    • Tasim: ...I'm going to head for the Gavel Province, I think. It's across from the ocean, far enough from- from all of this.
    • Tasim: When you get stronger, you should go there too. Maybe we'll run into each other, eventually.
Is this what you're referring to?

TBH this feel like set up for continuation of storyline rather than Fruma directly

For sure next continuation of storyline would be us with Aledar in Wynn province and then move on to Gavel to meet up with Tasim there

Me and some of my friends do have theory that Tasim probably going to be involve in Orc and Villagers war related quest due to how his narrative and theme fit so well with the quest storyline theme

Well in my canon, there is a point at the center of the realm of war that marks the spot where light and dark first clashed and have continued to since creation. You would see light coming from one side of the realm in a giant laser beam sort of (and darkness likewise from the other side), and they clash in the center, forming a giant corruption sky beam. This is the spot that first was corrupted, the spot that has been the origin of all cosmic scale corruption (spreading throughout the realm of war, through the portal and into wynn). Ancient armies of light and dark used the realm as a theater for battle, unknowingly dooming themselves to a horrible fate, their minds being corrupted and all loyalty to the two forces cut off, wandering aimlessly forever.

I liked some of trashies' OC's, so this my origin for Belgor, the gluttonous beast. An abomination of light, dark, corruption, flesh, and metal, the lost armies began to amalgamate together into a hideous mass larger than a city. Despite the hoard-that-created-it having little intelligence, the combined souls of the warriors was enough to make the beast sentient. It resented its masters, having left them to a horrible fate, the two beasts, and fought to overthrow them. In a rare moment of alliance between the beasts, the two focused all their power on destroying the monster.

While it a success, it left a corrupt mark on the beasts. Orphion, knowing the corruption could never be tamed, was forced to concentrate a portion of its power on quarantining this infection in its being. Dern, believing that power can bend power (ie. that the darkness could bend the corruption to its will) attempted to weaponize it. It was successful. Dern had sensed that the corruption could enhance its power. Unknown to it, however, the corruption had some will over its mind (I believe that the beast is influenced by the corruption to some degree, and that its plan to create an eternal peace in darkness would ultimately fail as the corruption would never truly be gone, and would always one day overtake the dark). The beast now had a plan to forever take down the light: it needed to have some way of converting mass amounts of corruption to darkness to enhance its power and obliterate the light.

This is where the fruman queen comes into play. A young ruler, taken aback by the ruins of a lost civilization in the dernel jungle. One such artifact she found killed everyone in the room but herself, and seemed to awaken... *something*. She began to have vivid nightmares of a hellish force destroying the world (corruption). Going insane, when the dern beast visited her in a dream, telling her that it was her ally, and that they must work together to destroy the corruption. Dern blessed the queen as she built an altar of transmutation at the point of convergence in the realm of war. It would take the raw corrupt energy produced by the clash of light and dark (which the queen imagined as light and dark coming together at this point in an attempt to kill the corruption) and convert it into pure darkness. The beast was supposed to use this power to empower itself to stop the corruption.

Obviously, she had been tricked. Barely escaping through the slipgate back into fruma, the queen swore revenge against the darkness. (There is more to this entire thing but i have to get back to work, hopefully some parts were intriguing. Also, now that I think about it, the queen maybe was not betrayed. According to orphion, she is still a threat. Perhaps the darkness has continued to lie to her about how the corruption has been continuedly winning. It warned her to lock up fruma when the portal broke out. It requested a soldier be made to combat the corruption (Bak'al), only for he to be corrupted and fallen into the hands of the darkness. Maybe you were created without the beast's request, and the queen was simply trying to create another, a better soldier to combat the corruption. This is actually an interesting stance... I had always assumed that the darkness and fruma were enemies at this point. Perhaps not...)

Oh, i did want to mention how the game ends in my canon. You defeat the dern beast in dern, but must spare them for the sake of balance. Bak'al, who ran away at the end of the realm of war storyline, makes a portal to the throne room, and sees the beast on its death bed. Taking advantage of this, he finishes off the beast and absorbs its soul. He leaves you be, wanting to "play" with you later. Now, I think it would be cool if you had a global questline where you have to try and protect the world in a partially corrupted apocalypse from bak'al and his armies (who is just really toying with you at this point). Bak'al, in the meantime, has killed orphion as well and absorbed his soul too. You then are "welcomed" to the realm of war once more.

Bak'al has decided to resurrect Belgor, the only other being to attempt to usurp the beasts, and merge with it, fusing all their souls into one vessel: The war beast. This is the final boss of the game.

Honestly, I think it would be far more interesting if he lived.

So far, 3/4 of what I'd consider the "major questline characters that help you" (in 3+ quests and their storyline is mostly resolved) either die or in Lari's case, have an unknown but dire fate. Having Tasim live would break that cycle and keep things interesting in my eyes, but it also opens some storyline avenues. So much of Tasim's life since the game begins for you has been filled with tribulations. I'd be curious to see how he picks up the pieces and keeps on going. It could even parallel Bob's story in a way: they're both characters who went through a ton of trials and hardship to ultimately become a hero (although we don't know what Tasim will be like yet).

...that being said I'm honestly expecting him to die lol

That's the line he says right after the dialogue I previously posted:
    • Tasim: I guess this is goodbye for now, then. Not forever- but for now. I'll see you around, <playername>.
How does this relate to Fruma, though? I don't get your logic. "I'm going to Gavel" ==> we will see Tasim in Fruma?
