Summary: Crate Bug?
Description: Hey! Loving the server and just recently bought a rank that included 5 crates to open. The first 4 I opened were fine ( Got commons :P ) but the last one I opened landed on a rare creeper egg, I think it was a creeper disguise or something but I was shocked a second later when it gave me a common sheep disguise :(
I just want to know what happened, is this a visual bug? Or is there any way to check if I got jipped?

it's all random anyways so the "rolling" animation doesnt actually do anything

 

It's set what you'll get when you first open it, the rolling animation is just buggy when it tries to land on said choice. Happens a lot, usually it's a biiit behind where it shows and clicks to if that's any help. But yeah, please Wynn CT, try and fix this... The amount of times I've been trolled by barely getting the cosmetic I want and then getting a Common Potion Swirl instead or some garbage, man...

 

The rewards aren't set when you first open the crate, but when you click to stop spinning a random amount of momentum is set to the spin, so there’s no way to control what you get and it’s still random. However if you're experiencing a certain amount of lag the rolling animation can end up inaccurate/behind. Just don't rely on the animation to tell you what you get if that’s the case, at the end of the day it’s all random anyway.

 

I've been told by multiple CT that it is selected on crate spawning though, plus if it decided at the end of the spin what you got, the server crashing or resetting mid-spin would delete the cosmetic (or make an exploitable way to pick them), and I've definitely gotten cosmetics when I lost connection mid-spin. I mean there might be a failsafe that randomizes it if you DC mid-spin, but I doubt that'd work on a server crash?

Well yea, of course it's random, I was just saying the randomization applies at crate choice.

 

whenever i roll a crate i just close my eyes until it finishes so i dont have to experience the devastation that is barely missing a godly or the server lagging and displaying the wrong reward

 

The crate will give you the cosmetic to your left if it lands anywhere between 2 of them.
