2.0.4 Speculation Thread

2.0.4 is getting released (or a hero beta will at least) this friday, so here's some free hype fuel for yalls:

Timelost Sanctum Quest - Lv. 26
lex would've released this quest along with tls but the quest presumably got pushed back to this patch. Here's a free bingo sheet for stuff that could happen in the quest:

we probs won't be seeing ctls tho bc thats more work than it looks (mob scaling, new features, etc.)

minor quest improvements
Four quests that were said to be improved didn't show up, so they are likely to appear in this patch. They aren't going to be anything huge, and the four that will be getting improved are:

• Pit of the Dead
• The Dark Descent
• Deja Vu
• The Mercenary

more caves
there are some minor caves in the game that don't have Tier 3 or 4 Loot Chests. The most notable example I can think of off the top of my head would be that one cave with electric elves in aldorei valley, but that's about it. You could also expect to see some grammar tweaks in the book (please for the love of god add periods to the end of cave descs my grammanic mind won't let me think they're suitable otherwise).

Yellow Beacon Rework
Who goes for yellow beacons? Unless you're still trying to hunt for the Gilded Eyefolk (*cough cough shameless self-promotion insert, find it here cough cough*) there is no good reason to go for yellow beacons. Therefore, they'd probs get reworked.

Festival of the Spirits 2023?
Given that it's almost october and nearing the season of halloween, i'd say there's a good chance that fots 23 will release alongside this update.

I’m very pessimistic about this update, I’m feeling a big mythic chance nerf, OR a mythic chance “rework” with a lot of unneeded fluff, as to “balance” a mythic drop chance nerf.

 

that requires too much dev time be patient

 

I'm just hoping they will actually let people play the reworked quests without having to delete a character and then re-level it all the way back up to whatever level the quest is

 

What about TNA intro quest

 

I hope they fix some of the lootrun bugs.

Like Aqua beacons not appearing when they should (like you have 8 beacon choices and they just dont spawn for some reason)

Also, blue beacon cannot give more than 5 boons options despite saying it will offer more. And if you try to go with one with 11 choices it will only show 3.

Another thing I hope could be done is following my suggestion (https://forums.wynncraft.com/thread...ns-in-the-first-rounds-of-lootrunning.310245/) and making sure we dont get useless boons in the early runs.

This isnt a bug, but it is very annoying.

Outside of LR, I expect the quest for the Sactum and its corrupted version.

Maybe some minor alterations for the skill tree.

 

I was under the impression that the Festival of Spirits would not be happening this year

 

Aqua beacons do not spawn more than twice in a row, so sometimes it wont spawn even if you have an open beacon slot

 

I'm aware of that, I mean they dissapear even if you havent choosen any aqua before.

That doesnt make sense, I get limiting aqua at two in a row for balacing, but if you dont choose the option why the hell it shoudlnt appear?

This is correct. It's probably easier to code, and it doesn't really cause problems since it's easy to predict when your Aqua beacons will and won't appear.

Well, that is disappointing, still at least with the knowledge I can do better on my lootruns, so thanks to you and @point_line.

Changing the subject...

I hope they increase the number of orange beacons, most of the time I only get 4-5 choices, so it would be nice if we get another chance to increase choices and make a longer run.

Also, please buff the hell out of the yellow beacons, those are currently useless.

 

Probs won't be coming out. As salted said before, don't expect huge stuff, think of this update more as 2.0.3.1. Either that or AJF is the tna quest.

It might not, given that 2.0 overshadowed both the bonfire and spirit fests which resulted in the latter being merged into the former.

Not happening. It'd probs come out with fruma, bc like i said in the post:

and also not that tls has some restraints due to being early-game compared to ctls which is late-to-end game.
