Lore/Story The Legend of the Lost Miner

Long, long time ago,
a thousand years or so,
the portal was discovered from three miners' gears,
unaware that the land behind would have brought tears.

The poor fellas only thought:
"in here there could be a rich mining spot."
And so they entered, with Bak'al in first,
for just to come back all three cursed.

Brain-washed, mind-controlled
from a beast of a realm unknown.
Bak'al would become the undead king,
with cold intelligence destruction he'd bring.

Another the Corrupter of Worlds became,
lacking any reason, eventually he was put at tame.
But the third, whose name was lost,
of him nothing we know, maybe he's a ghost.

Either this ghost haunting the suburbs he could be,
with immense powers of an untold degree,
either a simply undiscovered living entity
closed in some place, but always ready to ruin someone's destiny.

Folks from Elkurn and Detlas would sometimes report
seeing a mysterious malicious figure by a half-destroyed fort.
Those people would eventually disappear,
to come back later with a disease austere.

Since many accidents the lost miner was never mentioned in public anymore,
and he calmed himself indeed, not continuing the pestilent gore.
But it is said he still roams the place to this time,
and so to warn you I tell this story in rhyme.
