We may be in the darkness, but the Light creeps in, chasing away the true Dark. Yes, we destroy what Light made, but do you not destroy the weed in your garden? Do you not cut out the tumour? We merely defend. What can survive, survives. What attacks, must be repelled.

Do you want a monster hiding in your ranks, evading capture? Is a man exiled from his home for his look travelling to far lands happier than being with a loving family, accepting friend? You speak of variety, but your image of it is too deformed by the Light. Variety is a beautiful thing, but deceit only leads to pain.

Are you not the weed in the garden if Light? The plaque attempting to create a cavity? We strike against what threatens us. What oppresses, must be attacked.
Do you want a monster to gouge your mind? Is there love in the shadows, or is it just the cold of the deep and the void? You speak of deformation, but do you not know that the dark twists to its will ever more? Light reveals. Deceit is all so much easier in the shadows.

 

Light is the weed, the world is the garden. The darkness cannot create a cavity by definition, it is Light that can invade. It cannot oppress, it can only wait.
I do not, but is better a monster you see or one behind your back? Are you not reading what I said? Light does not reveal, it deceives, it plays, changes as it sees fit. Darkness does not show, true, but does not hide either. You must stop relying purely on your sight to process the world.
Is there love in the shadows? Of course it is! Like sadness, happiness, anger, satisfaction... Anything we bring there can strive, for the better or worse. It is your responsibility to keep them in check.

And how much do you know of Light? If one wishes to be seen, they must be in the Light, or the Darkness will snuff out their glory. And what comes of the Dark? It produces nothing that does not benefit itself. The Light spreads, of course, but its influence spreads farther than its command, and provides more possible benefit than the blank similarity of the Dark.

I know enough to know what is good for me.
You constantly limit yourself to just sight, you must open your other senses as well. What comes of the Dark? Nothing. All the work is upon yourself. On the other hand, it does not limit you, direct you, control you. To think you could escape Light is naive, nothing can escape it and its influence. Not even you.
