Media Will Wynncraft ever be its own Standalone game?

According to me, Wynncraft would be PERFECT as a standalone game. This would allow Wynn to develop their game outside the limits of Minecraft.

They would have to spend ages building the map, plus the abilities are cool in minecraft

no. wynncraft would be awful as a stand-alone game. it would go from “unique mmorpg made in vanilla minecraft” to “generic mmorpg with not much special about it”

 

That’s a pretty well done image for the store page, but I wouldn’t actually want wynn to try and make a standalone game

Main problem is that everything aside from lore would have to be redesigned, which would take far to much effort for what would potentially never even work out in the first place.

 

I wanted Wynncraft to separate from Minecraft elements anyway

The Nether no longer exists in Wynncraft's lore and story and Creepers are insignificant enough to be removed. Hell, even Lost Sanctuary has already swept them off that quest!

The only actual obstacle I see here that still ties Wynncraft to Minecraft content are Villagers, whose existence and place in the server I find extremely annoying
Something that while I wish happened it simply isn't realistic enough for Salted to change an entire province and half of the game's lore and not have at least a bit of an uproar at all

The problem isn't creating a whole new humanoid-esque species to replace Villagers, that part is easy

It's more of the community's reaction of this drastic and big of a change that I'm slightly concerned about

 

Wynncraft has the most content and the largest map. Also hsb is mainly just a glorified box server with a couple other activities

 

To be more specific, I'd say it's a glorified economy simulation. Almost all content nowadays is built upon the "99% of gamblers quit before hitting big" philosophy with almost every RNG drop having abysmal droprate to time ratios. Can't forget the fact that whenever the economy is being threatened by some bug the entire game is in shambles..

 

Yea when I ask people who play, the main problem with hsb is that the economy is hyper-inflated, and many people just quit because they got scammed somehow.

I always wanted to see some miracle catalyst event where most of a large portion of HSB players are somehow alerted to the Wynncraft server's existence and what it contains

Either through some viral trailer or some random massive streamer playing on it or something

It's going to be really funny to see how many HSB people just migrate to WC and flood the hell out of earlygame
