Imagine being this guy for a second. You try to make ends meet by selling candy at the airport to children with rich parents for a significantly marked-up price. You struggle to pay rent, sometimes sleeping in the store so you can get to work quicker for more revenue. You work 15 hours a day, even on the weekends. It's a hard life, but you've got no other options. Until one day out of nowhere, some random dude from the most isolated nation in the world (Fruma) comes along and spends literally hundreds of thousands of dollars buying your overpriced candy, only to use it for anything you can think of except eating.

Nah, he's not in such dire straits as that. If you spoke with him during the Blizzard Festival last year he'd have some things to say, same with the T-Shirt guy. Apparently the T-Shirt guy makes more money than Candyman here, and he's a workaholic to cope apparently, but he isn't in poor straits financially.
