Is it a wasteland though? Waste... a desolate land... but the Abyss is not desolate, on the contrary, it is growing, blooming. It is hard to survive there, yes, but possible.

Wasteland is the place you want to call home. Light does not care for its kingdom, only unites all under its will.

Abyss may be lonely, but Light is naught but sorrow on abandonment.

Did you hear the birds? Bees? No. There are none, the Light took them, enslaved them. You might have seen the land, but it is dead.

The Darkness does not show such beauty, but you can feel more. The eyes are not all you have. I understand it may be confusing, but I believe it is better.
