    We’re bringing you a HUGE update today. There's so much new stuff that a few years ago, this would have been considered a major update!

    [​IMG] | Client-Side Loot Chests

    It’s finally happening. Loot Chests will now be client-side instead of server-side. That means every player will have their own unique instance of every Loot Chest on the map. Other players will not be able to arrive before you and pick up all the loot, leaving nothing for you.

    Loot Chests will still become more and more filled over time, but it will be based on the last time you, personally, looted that chest. Tier 3 and 4 will also require you to complete a small challenge before opening them.

    This change has implications for the quantity of loot some players will find. Now that Loot Chests are client-side, it means it is no longer possible to abuse the old mechanic by seeking old worlds and claiming routes before other players get there. For those that used to exclusively experience chests this way, you will see a decrease in overall loot.

    However, we don't want this to just be a straight-up nerf to the most popular endgame activity. We've spent time designing a new Lootrun system for y'all!

    Last update we introduced the Silverbull Trading Company. However, they're not just a trading company, but a larger conglomerate in the world of Wynncraft that deals with various services.

    They've just opened their headquarters near Cinfras! Visit it to learn more about how the system works and join the Lootrunning Division! Level up through the syndicate ranks to unlock more features for your lootruns, like new beacon effects, bonuses, and more! Leveling up is not particularly grindy and is designed to ease you into the system at a good pace.

    You can find Lootrun Camps in certain areas, by interacting with the Lootrun Master you will be given the option to start a Lootrun! Beacons of different colour and effects will appear and lead you to a particular challenge. Sometimes it will be exploring a cave, other times it will be defending a statue from attackers, and so on. Successfully completing challenges will give you loot and special lootrun bonuses based on your beacon selection. The more challenges you complete, the more you improve your End Reward after finishing a Lootrun and get more loot.

    Lootrunning will feel different than what you are used to. The learned skill is less about perfectly memorizing and following the shortest paths between chests as fast as possible, and more about building your run to maximize your luck and loot. Knowledge of the area is still important but in a different way.
    In the beginning, we'll have 2 Lootrun camps available. One in the Silent Expanse [991, -784], and one in Corkus [-1561, -2674]. We plan to add additional ones soon after, particularly in high-level areas.

    We've spent a lot of time making the system repeatable and better suited for the long term. We hope you guys like it, even if it's a big change!


    [​IMG] | Content Book and Caves


    The Quest Book has been replaced by the Content Book. It now shows different types of content such as quests, caves, dungeons, and more! The default sorting will recommend certain types of content based on your progression and how close it is. If you prefer, you can set filters and change the sorting to get the same experience as the original quest book.

    There's now a lot more information for each type of content. If a quest is important for a story, it will be highlighted with a "Storyline" tag.

    [​IMG] | Dungeon Redesign: The Timelost Sanctum

    The Lost Sanctuary Dungeon (Lv. 24) has been replaced by a brand new one: The Timelost Sanctum (Lv. 27). Enter a dungeon trapped in time, forever preserved in a moment of perfection. Complete its challenges in any order, which become more difficult as the spell is disrupted and the sanctum is pulled closer to the present day.

    The dungeon won't be available right away during HERO Beta and will come out a little bit later. Its corrupted version will also stay unchanged for now.

    Although Lootruns' main attraction will still be Mythics. However, new rewards and items were also added!

    Every week, a new set of rewards will refresh for each Lootrun Camp containing various rewards such as Mythics, emeralds, various regular items, runes, and keys. They also have exclusive ones, such as:

    [​IMG] Once per week, one Mythic will be selected at random and become Shiny. Shiny items work the same way as regular ones, are extra rare, and track specific game statistics achieved while having them equipped. Note that the new glow effect only works in higher Minecraft versions.

    • Healing Efficiency: Increase the effectiveness of all your heals
    • Knockback: Increase your Main Attack's knockback
    • Weaken Enemy: Reduce entities damage when you hit them. Hard capped at 50%
    • Slow Enemy: Reduce entities speed when you hit them. Hard capped at 50%
    • Elemental Defence: Buff all of your elemental defences at once

    • Overwhelm: Bash will hit +2 times
    • Furious Slices: Multihit deals +2 more hits
    • Tremblor: Bash gains +1 Area of Effect and is 20% faster
    • Soul Eater: Devour and Harvester grant double mana. Decreases maximum marks by 1.
    • Juggle: Stronger Multihit adds an additional 12 hits. All hits are reduced by ✢ -10%.
    • Reckless Abandon: Increases the damage of Tempest by ✹ 15% and adds one charge. War Scream no longer grants a defence bonus.
    • Divine Honor: Increases the bonus from Radiance by 5%. Bash deals ✤ -15% per hit.
    • Perfect Recall: Memory Recollection adds 1 extra spell. Increases Chaos Explosion's mana bank requirement to 150.
    • Strings of Fate: Your puppets have a lifetime of 3 seconds, and deal double damage with attacks and explosions.
    • Escape Route: Frenzy and Time Dilation charge twice as fast, but to a halved maximum.
    • Forest Blessing: Your archer summons have increased movement speed, attack speed, and vision. Bomb Arrow's damage is reduced by ✢ -30%.
    • Gentle Glow: Orphion's Pulse restores more health, with an increased rate to allies and Fluid Healing effectiveness. Health is restored much slower.
    • Alter Ego: Awakened can be activated after saving 40% less mana, but its duration is reduced by -25%

    [​IMG]We've replaced most Dungeons tokens rooms so that you can now progress by simply slaying mobs, instead of having to gather their token drops.

    [​IMG]New gathering nodes can now be found and gathered in some endgame areas. They drop a special resource you can refine in those areas to get new ingredients.

    [​IMG]The Forgery mythic chance increase is now per-player rather than per-character.

    We've fixed a lot of bugs in this update! But nonetheless, some may remain. Make sure to report any bugs you find here! It helps us a lot.
    • Fixed an issue where players using the Party Finder matchmaker would sometime get stuck in the "Match Found" menu
    • Changed the Media tag from YT to Media
    • Added a new fast travel between Nemract and Tempo Town
    • Fixed a bug where players couldn't pick up an item if they had a full inventory, even if they already had a non-full stack of the same item
    • Fixed a bug where sprinting while on a horse would still consume Sprint
    • Fixed a bug where visiting a housing while on a horse caused some NPCs to not spawn
    • Changed the colour of shouts from blue to purple and pink to better differentiate them from guild chat messages
    • Fixed a visual issue with the Item Identifier checkmark button
    • Updated the tooltip of materials to mention they can be used to purchase blocks in housing
    • Fixed a bug where players were able to scrap cosmetics they were actively wearing

    • Fixed the Berserker Berry not respawning if the holder dies in The Nameless Anomaly Berry Room

    As usual with betas, they aren't designed to make sweeping changes to systems. The amount of players who helps test is a little too low for that. There's also a difference in the way people play on betas versus on the live servers. Betas are great for finding bugs and things we missed, but for making big changes to the system it's more effective to get feedback from all players once it is released. We will continue to tweak and improve the system in future updates.
