What are some secret areas you found in the game?

And no, I'm not talking about secret discoveries. Rather, places or details that most people may not know about.

For example, there is a little town atop the cliff that decrepit sewers is nestled in, overlooking legendary island. If you go there, there's a little challenge where you defeat waves of enemies to unlock the gates, granting access to a place to gather crops.

Or, there's a secret potato cavern in the middle of the ocean. It is accessible via a small island with a big tree just west of selchar, close to pirate cove.

That's not a town. That's a mansion.
Also a cool thing that I discovered is that during the secret discovery in the silent expanse when you fall out of reality, the space you fall through is near the 1k meters under void islands. (the 2 places are about 500-700 blocks apart)

Yeah I was struggling to find a word, and mansion does fit it better.

 

I'm not sure if this counts as a "secret" but I think it is really cool when every now and then you can see a bee hive with bees circling around it and makes things more lively. I would have to think harder for any secrets
