Would it be possible to use ingredient pouch while crafting?

I was thinking that it might be useful, but since I don't know if it's even physically possible I figured I'd ask rather than suggest right away. I don't want to clutter suggestions with impossibilities.

 

I don't think so because both are minecraft uis (chest interfaces), but i definitely agree that this would be extremely useful.

 

I mean, it works for buying stuff with emeralds in emerald pouches
Don't see why it shouldn't be possible to pull ingredients out of the pouch to craft

 

You'd have to select them individually; maybe a double chest would work if they had a good system for reading the player's ingredient pouch? It'd have to update really fast without being laggy though or it could end up exploitable

 

I don't think you understood the part about emerald pouches

 

Maybe if you had multiple stacks of an ingredient, which I could possibly see for really high-level crafting level grinding
But the really annoying part is for things like ironman craftsman, where you have about 2 spare inventory slots and therefore have to drop items somewhere and hope nobody takes them in order to craft with 3 different ingredients because you don't have a bank to store all of your materials.
