Could someone explain to me why the mythical Monster has gone up so much in the market? Were there any kind of buffs or new strategies with this weapon?

 

2.0 brought heavy inflation on all mythics, even stardew somehow.
Also, monster is a community favorite for guild wars, so there's also that.

Mage can do dps now and it can hit 120k+ ehp without crafteds, so you are able to tank and heal and deal damage

 

the heal and defense make it very tanky, but still high dps with light mage

There was a huge duping incident recently that caused the prices of all mythics to skyrocket.

Not necessarily. The purchasing of higher-end mythics resulted in a greater elasticity of the market, alongside a decrease in supply. A leftwards shift of the short-run aggregate supply curve would raise price level, which we see in the current market as prices have increased.

Since Wynncraft's mythic trade market is considered a perfectly competitive market (it has no barriers to entry nor exit, apart from time and minor economic cost), the sellers are price-takers for the most part. Although they can set the price to some degree, selling significantly higher will not sell the item, and lower will result in decreased marginal revenue.

 

The reason why this is happening is because the person who duped all of that money used it to buy out most of the mythics on the market, and then the duper threw them all in lava. That means that the demand of mythics is still high, but the supply is much lower now.
