Why do MC modders hate CurseForge?

Recently the devs of Sodium announced that they will no longer be hosting Sodium on CurseForge due to a variety of issues. This isn’t the first time they publicly criticized CurseForge, nor are they only modders to do so.

As an outsider, I was wondering then what exactly has (or hasn’t) CurseForge done wrong. Is it just the management of CurseForge or is it something greater? Something about a beta on CurseForge was also mentioned that would be great to learn more about.

 

It's partwise because Curseforge isn't giving modders the full revenue made by ads on the mods page. Curseforge keeps a part of it to pay server and make money.
At least that's what I found out about it.

They've moved over to modrinth, because they get the whole revenue made by ads on their modpage. They also mentioned that they moved because improved features on the modrinth page, but I can't confirm any of these statements without further research

 

also the guy who runs forge in general is kind of a dick when it comes to people trying to learn to make mods
