SPOILER THEORY: What exactly are loot chests?

When you go around the world you'll think some chests which contain some loot. You might be thinking: "So what? Literally every game has loot chests". Well you are wrong you stupid no-brainer, there is obvious more depth to EVERY SINGLE GAMEPLAY thing. There are three main questions we must answer:
1. Why are people leaving random loot in chests they put down?
2. Why do they appear every so often?
2. Who is doing this?
3. Why do they sparkle?

Firstly, why would people leave their valuable loot around like literal mythics sometimes. This is one of the most puzzling question as the rest could be explained by things like they hire someone to put them down, the almuj bank who give out stx for free, they put glitter on it. But the fact it is infinitely occurring and there is also no evidence of where they got the items from. Is it to donate to the poor? If it's the Almuj Bank why not donate to the starving kids which had an entire quest about? And why would people donate like I want money I ain't giving it away.

In the forum, a man got a smoke bomb from a chest which the smoke bomb isn't meant to exist. I think that is a glitched loot chest. The only difference is that it's constant and doesn't update properly. How does this answer the 4 questions well...
1: They are temporary gateways which try to get items from their world to our world. Why would they do this? To become so dependent on the chests they are able to take over. Think about it, as the game updates so do these chests due to lootrunning. As more chests are placed, more features added, making us kill mobs to get ingredients to optimise our chests. Weaken our population so the takeover is easier. They aren't scared we are stacked because they provide the scraps of what they have.
2: As I said they are gateways which are locked onto the same spot in space. As they are opened it shuts but eventually reopens when new loot is entered.
3: Who is doing this...? Isn't it obvious, the discovers. They are sentient chestplates born to discover worlds through their chests.

In conclusion don't open the chests or lootrun as they are trying to take over our world.

What if it's just loot from random people who died.

Like, I can totally believe an npc like Pumpkinn dying at the end of a rodoroc cave and leaving a pair of Crusade Sabatons for me to pick up.

 

So lootrunners are just constantly desecrating random people’s corpses

 

Yeah I'm guessing loot chests are really just dead bodies, it's just... Maybe you don't want to be constantly looting from a corpse

I think loot chests just come from npcs who just hide their personal posessions out in the open instead of in their own homes
