How do you personally level crafting/gathering skills?

I'm curious how much other people use crafting, so here we are.

I'm also curious what y'all think of the system as a whole for all players.

That's the neat thing: I don't

 

well the class I did it on was already done on all the content before 1.18 came out, so didn't have a choice but to do it after rather than alongside.

 

I started leveling professions at level 100+ because I had already reached that level before professions came out.

As for now, I'd argue waiting to level professions is best because you'll get better gxp gear at higher combat levels plus TNA tomes further boosting that. Professions aren't required for game progress (unless you absolutely need the weapon from Shadow of the Beast quest) and it's way easier mass leveling them once your combat is done versus trying to do it alongside your combat level.

The only exception to this is any craftsman/HIC class which needs professions kept within the same combat level to avoid dying/failing the challenge.

 

The highest I ever intentionally leveled up a skill was to do shadow of the beast
Aside from that I occasionally do daily or weekly objectives if I get a festival crate from it

 

I've gotten all my gathering levels to ~50 on 14 classes just from consistently doing daily objectives (I've gotten 5 daily objective mythics)

 

just did em separately, once all classes were leveled up essentially past 100

 

Imagine playing craftsman/HIC, but waiting till lvl106 to level proffesions

 

naked lvl 1 weapon playthrough go go go

 

I think the enemies might heal a little too fast

just a bit
