Gert Mask Help?

Haven't played Wynncraft since probably 2 years ago or so. Trying to do the scavenger hunt now for the festival and I can't access the Gert area. I have a Gert mask in my bank, but it's broken (base face w/ only the name, no other features - doesn't look like a pumpkin). When I try to put it on it doesn't let me. I also see that I have the Part 2 of the hunger of the gets up, but with no way to get another mask I can't try to proceed or even access what I need to.

Any idea how to fix it? I did /fixquests but it didn't show.

 

Update: I am trying to do the quest on a different character. Managed to get a gert mask, but when trying to continue in the quest Stage 13 "Enter the secret gert tunnel at [-4, 33, -5516].", it constantly gives me the animation that I get eaten and says I'm not a gert before I can ever get to the tunnel. And I am wearing the mask.
