SPOILER Are you good at Storytelling?

I'm back on the forums since last time (read my prof suggestions please i beg of you)
and well i felt this might actually be the right forums (pun intended) for this message.

Are you interested in storytelling? Do you have story-telling skills and a creative mindset?
Well then you might be the kind of person I need! You see, I'm working on something and well I need some help because well I have a lot of things on my plate (always lots of videos to do) and I need a few peoples who would love working on a big creative project relating to Wynncraft!

Does that sound like you? Well tell me a bit about how you could contribute in a storytelling creative project, do you have any prior experiences such as writing custom quests or fanfictions about wynncraft, or is this something that just interests you? Tell me more down below and post your discord and i'll reach out to some of you guys :)

(This would be semi time consuming and we're looking for people who are good in groups but also know how to take charge and work semi-independently)

I've written small things for school, which were well-received, and the first couple chapters of a fantasy novel that will hopefully see the light of day sometime this century. I've also made some videos that contain something of a story, if you're interested.

I’ve written for several major projects here, including the Throne of Gavel, a now-discarded novel comprising of multiple chapters set in pre-portal Gavel, and a full rework of the Aldorei’s Secret 2 and ROL 4 quest.

I could definitely be interested in this! I've been a hobbyist worldbuilder for a few years to date, and my most impressive feat to date is probably completing NaNoWriMo - which is definitely a lot of writing! I actually overshot the goal a little, did an average of a little over 2.1k words per day for 27 days for a total of about 58k.

Other than that, I've done a bunch of short stories and just generally a lot of worldbuilding as a hobby, I've got a few projects I work on just for fun. In the past, I've also taken several courses on creative writing to hone my skills. I'm also reasonably well read on Wynncraft lore, if that's important.

I wrote these two things, and I have an in-progress worldbuilding project on another site that I can link you, if you wish. It's not too long, though, and I don't usually write much longer than short stories.

Lore and storytelling though? I'm very good at that. Worldbuilding is my passion. I can and have written countless pages of worldbuilding. I can write you lore, organizations, plots, etc etc. I don't lean as hard into smaller-scale scriptwriting, but I'm competent there as well.

I'm not involved in Wynntheory's current lore rework, but I had a major role in the last one (signature, 'a silent din'). Assuming that this is something along those lines, then I've already got experience with this kind of project. In Wynn, even.

Finally: my side-gig is running TTRPG campaigns, ones that I usually homebrew entirely. The reviews of the people call me "pretty good" at it. I'm probably going to be taking a break from that soon, though, which opens up hours every week for other storytelling pursuits.

This sounds really cool! I haven't played Wynncraft in a while due to working full time and finishing up uni, however I have good experience in writing and a thorough love for all Wynncraft lore, especially relating to Dern, Fruma, and the Decay. Before studying creative writing at university I had worked on MC roleplays in the past, and have auditioned for Voices of Wynn as a voice actor. Discord: MrGemdone #4871

Promoting @hmtn (although ig they already have a quote from me) and @Etherweaver for incredible writing . . . hmtn won this unofficial writing contest thing we had a while back (and is just all around really good at writing) and Ether has done some incredible work on the Backways Bar and that story he shared - consider this an endorsement.

 

Little do they know that we’ve both been accepted already
