A Great Injustice to all Hardcore players

The canary calls has no special dialogue for Hardcore players that choose a slow death :(
Like, the game has one for Max level, no profs, max combat, but not Hardcore?




Also yeah, I sacrificed a 103 Hardcore Ironman class to test if the quest actually counts as a death. I didn't play the class so its eh. Plus, I finally have a free class slot on my main account again which I will hopefully use for a HIC youtube series, though no promises.

(and yes, I know my drystreak is horrible)

 

I really wish there was some way to replay this scene after doing the quest, because if you choose the "correct" choice in the quest there's no way to catch unique and cool dialogue like this, which I'd really want to see and/or play around with to see all the possible unique dialogues.

If there is actually unique dialogue for people with 1690 total level, how will anyone get to find this out on their own if they only get one chance to play this out, which will likely be way before they reach 1690...?

In terms of hardcore stuff, it would be kind of funny if the poem broke the 4th wall, telling the player to get out before it's too late since it will count as a hardcore death if they let it play out fully.

I might be misunderstanding, but wouldn't 1:18 be the dialogue? Asking if you come here often and then mentioning it's your first time after you chose to die? I never chose to die on that quest so idk

Considering that you and the bird are more or less high on toxic fumes throughout the quest, I feel like the fact that those options actually kill you is a little unfair. I know that section confused me when I first did it.

 

I mean it asks if you wanna die it's pretty clear

 

In that quest it really isn't though. I got confused in the first boss fight when nothing happened (I didn't realise I was supposed to hit the things) and I legitamitely thought that I was supposed to chose to die. In that quest it really isn't far fetched.

It also does pretty clearly ask "do you want to die?"

 

The quest said "do you want to die with me" in some form. It was pretty clear to me. And for the boss I guess it could be confusing but when there's big glowing crystals with a hit counter on them that's not super hard to figure out either

 

I never was complaining that it killed you, just that we don't have special dialogue for sacrificing our lives.

like what if you had a hardcore save and then you accidentally pressed 2 on your keyboard instead of 1

Finding Meaning never really says that there was no gas, but it is heavily implied since the writer was able to live with the hallucinations for 3 days or more

 

This gas... It's not normal. In fact, I don't even think it is a gas. It's like... some kind of magical force. There's this constant pressure against my head, as if it's about to explode.
This force... Could it be the Colossus' doing? If it really is, then that means... No...
