Ragni Memorial Secret

Okay so I don't actually know how many people know this existed but I accidentally discovered it on the first day of 2023 (I have proof you can check Discord lol) and I have no idea if I'm the first person to find this but

Okay I know I'm like a full month late but I forgot about it bear with me okay okay good let's move on

So you know this thing right

The Ragni Memorial

I won't be talking about the actual NPC or the meaning behind the Memorial this is about something else
I was kinda curious if there was anything else to this structure but I didn't really see anything around it that alludes to it so that didn't really went anywhere. The thought never really left my mind though



So one day I was kinda bored in-game and I noticed the flower pot at the bottom over there (You can see in the image). It wasn't really breakable like other Wynncraft pots (Which was kinda understandable, having part of a memorial like that breakable is kind of... weird) but I didn't really have anything else to do so I decided to do a random made-up challenge:

Inspired by that fragile flower thing from Hollow Knight, I was supposed to get a flower item from anywhere in the game and carry it all the way to Ragni without taking any damage, casting any spells, or taking any fast transport or teleportation.

Now, the only obtainable flower I could really remember is the rose ingredient, which the Florist enemy at the Nesaak house dropped (I was too lazy to find the lost spider I couldn't remember where the cave was) so being the bored Wynncraft player I was I decided to head there, get the crafting ingredient and make it all the way to Ragni with all the requirements above.

Luckily for me, I did it first try! It wasn't really too difficult, Time Valley and Emerald Trail enemies are kinda manageable only issue was the zombie horse and I headed all the way to the memorial with the rose item in hand.

Now, I 100% wasn't expecting anything to happen, but when I right-clicked the flower pot with the crafting ingredient rose item...

IT WORKED?!

I have no idea this was a thing
This wasn't even like a Minecraft mechanic-related bug that flower is very much an armor stand model

Fun fact, that flower is permanent on that class. I took the image above just a few minutes ago, a full month after I placed the flower.

DID ANYONE ELSE KNOW ABOUT THIS? DID I TRIGGER SOMETHING IN THE GAME SOMEWHERE?!

And note, I used a rose crafting ingredient. What other items does this work with?! Can all of you grab all the flower items you know in the game and try to put it in the memorial pot?! If something happened after I put it in there I wasn't able to find out, please let me know if there is something.

This has been known about for many years

It's an actual memorial, but out of respect I won't explain whose memorial it is.

It's one of my favourite niche secrets in the game, and I doubt it will ever be removed or changed.

 

nah this "new discovery" isn't about the memorial itself- it's about the rose bit, which I have not heard of myself before. I suspect this actually is new knowledge. (unless you already knew about the rose, in which case I misunderstood)
also, there's one more of these in game, though it's a lot more obscure.

Oh yea, I went through basically this exact thought process and discovered this a while back too, it's nice.
EDIT: As far as I'm aware, getting hit doesn't matter. I haven't played much Hollow Knight and have tried to stay away from spoilers, so I'm 99% sure I'd have been hit at some point and it still worked, if a bit hard to angle to avoid the NPC's dialogue.

yeah, you can place a rose at the memorial. there's nothing more to it besides that

 

I added this a while ago, there's nothing more to it than being able to place a rose there. I just thought it was a nice thing to add
