dwarves and doguns IV task glitch

So basically i was trying to do dwarves and doguns IV task and i triggered the first dialogue where alexus was trapped in a cave, and it sort of glitched and it doesn't let me enter the control room, no chance of me resetting the task as korzim isn't at the place where the task started, can someone help?

I didn't see your post before I posted pretty much the same thing. Korzim isn't the only NPC that isn't there (and at that stage, it makes sense for Korzim to be gone). If you look at my post with screenshot, Axelus is also not there and the quest is till saying to find Axelus and hasn't advance to Free Axelus. Is that also what you quest staus is?

I got it to advance. Not sure what exactly tripped it, but I had gone and done something different and to come back I got juggled from Cinfras. Not sure if that was what made a difference. Seems weird. NPCs weren't there and I was going to walk out of Rodoroc and suddenly the dialog stared. NPCs didn't appear until the dialog got to Axelus' part and then they showed up. At the end of it, the quest stage updated and I was able to go press the button and continue. Let me know if that works for you.

 

Make sure you have the staff and amulet in yor inventory before trying this. It looks like I am stuck again further along because I didn't have them. When the portal opened into Garaheth and I didn't have them, I was directed through a portal back to Rodoroc. I got them and came back and the portal wouldn't work. the status still says to try to stop the ceremony. And again, there seems to be no way to restart the dialog. There is no battle to run back to and circle back around; I had to do that to get it to advance from the battle to getting the dialog.

 

oh, i solved this problem by going up the control room and saving alexus again, resulting in resetting the quest. then everything went fine and i completed my quest.

 

thanks - that worked for me also. had to do the dwarves in Rodoroc again, but seemed like I got through that quicker and after the canon ride, only had to do the last bit of battle. Got inside through that main portal and a second one and did /class, then checked to make sure I can indeed go back. I did it on warrior, but I need to get Olinus to remind me what to do; I did have trouble getting things in the right state to use the staff before. i remember that. Don't have really high hopes about archer doing that parkour easily, but going to try to get through it. def could use the reward.
