Fate of the Fallen Quest Glitch

I went to do the Fate of the Fallen quest with a friend and when both of us were going to the base of operation we were told to go to after the cutscene, my friend got to talk to Theorick and complete the quest but I didn't find him in the first place
he's just, not there???
I've seen one conversation about this and I tried doing what the comments said but he still hasn't showed up, any help?

 

I would try to retrace your steps from the beginning of the quest (if you're using any mods they could possibly interfere, so vanilla Minecraft 1.12.2 or 1.18.2 is recommended) to see if that helps

 

I did exactly as you told me, yet Theorick still hasn't showed up
both vanilla 1.12.2 and 1.18.2, weird

 

Blizzard event has caused an invisible NPC bug that's affecting a lot of quests right now so this might be one of them, I think I saw at least one other person with the exact same issue you have. Only other thing you can do is make a bug report if you haven't already and wait until next patch to see if it gets fixed
