i havent played in like a year is there any viable moneymaking method that isn't lootrunning yet

 

Well, I haven't played for too long but I have been on the forums for a bit, so I'll give it a shot.
Lootrunning is the current meta, but you said you don't want to lootrun so I'll cross that off.

Quests are also a good way to make money, for example, Dodegar's ultimate weapon can give you 7 le if you sell it to the merchant.

The Seavale reefs are a pretty bad option comparatively but is viable for low levels.

If you don't mind tedious/ monotony, then another option is buying cheap lvl 1 helmits in Ragni then scrapping and selling them to TM.

There are lots of guides much better than mine that I would suggest checking out.

 

TNA is probably the most efficient if and only if you have a good party. Completing a run can net you around 3-4LE on average, so if you win say 10 runs back to back, that's 30-40LE in the span of a few hours. Obviously the hardest part is finding a team that can consistently complete TNA, but if you can manage that, the payoff is massive. Obviously, you should also consider the downside: having to pay for the runes if you're too lazy to farm for them yourself, and every failed run is wasted money or time

 

If you have access to the VSS Seaskipper and all the islands, just take a ride to one of the highest level islands you can go to and that you have access to so you can farm all the high level mobs and perhaps kill some bosses that may or may not have killed before. They will still drop boss loot including quest and potentially legendary chests. Selchar is one of the ports that you can go to find the seaskipper if you have trouble finding it.

or you can just beg for money on the streets.

Getting 2 LE now is considered decent. Its a waste of time for most people now.

Not sure if this is a joke reply, so I will just clarify that the gear that was selling for a lot of money for the first few hours now dropped hard and will continue to decline to 1-2 LE most likely withint next 3 days. It is not 2-3 LE its 1-2 LE with above 2 le being rare. This is terrible.

 

why do CT members constantly give these shitty, snarky responses to any criticism levied at the game

That post was a joke. If you want a genuine response, then the reason why we reduced the amount of emeralds was because TNA was inflating the market a bit too much and we felt it was necessary to cut the rewards down a bit.
I know 'any' is hyperbole, but it's a bit unfair when the majority of my responses to feedback are genuine, and I imagine the same for other members who would make similar shitpost-y comments.
Yeah, this wasnt the right place or time for me to quip back with what I did, and I apologize for coming across as snarky.

People definitely bought them and still do. Some items aren't great but some are genuinely pretty good

 

while i still don't agree with the change, i appreciate the response and respect your willingness to write it; i apologize for being pretty harsh in my reply. fwiw i have no issue with you personally - i've just experienced a frustrating pattern for a while now of many CT members responding to player concerns in flippant and un-constructive ways

 

I dont know much about economy so my opinion might be wrong, if so I'm sorry
but I really think doing this isn't preventing inflation, instead it keeps mythic at ridiculous price while making newer players unable to earn so much

Tbh I didn't even really see this "inflation". The only things that got inflated were considered to be meta TNA choices (and Epoch for whatever reason), this is similiar case to Warp being expensive because it was the best money making choice. Most mythics WERE actually possible to get with the help of TNA (not Idol tho it was REALLY expensive and still is ) in a measurable time.

 

I'm getting rich by doing professions, but not everyone has the same derailed sense of time and scale as me.
lootrunning seems like a good idea too but to get efficient you need a good build, I have heard that it became more difficult since last update when they patched unleveled chests.
grinding ingredients is kinda nice but it is slow if you don't have a rank for totems.
