Guide 2.0.1 Hotfix 2 Ability Tree Changelog

Hello everyone! As you've probably noticed, the changes to the ability tree for the Blizzard Festival patch were pushed today, so here's the changelog! A few changes were accidentally missed in the twitter post, but this one has all of them.

You may have noticed that I'm making this post instead of Salted, and that's because I'm currently the Interim Lead AT Balancer! This is the first changelog that's been managed by me, and I'm excited to hear everyone's feedback. Hopefully you guys like it!

We know that there are still a lot of changes the community would love to see that are absent here, especially for Assassin. I promise that we aren't ignoring these issues, some changes just take a lot more work internally to develop.

Enough from me, here are the changes:

MAGE
Better Lightweaver has been moved next to Sunflare as an optional node.
Arcane Speed is now an Arcanist ability.
Memory Recollection now has no archetype affiliation.

Increased Ice Snake’s hitbox size (1.5 -> 2 blocks)
Increased Thunderstorm's amount of hits (4 -> 6 Hits)
Reduced Thunderstorm's delay between hits (4 -> 3 Ticks)
Reduced Thunderstorm's damage per hit (Neutral: 25 -> 15%, Thunder: 10 -> 8%)
Reduced Breathless' damage per Winded (Neutral: 5 -> 4%, Earth: 3 -> 2%)
Reduced Snake Nest's spread angle (45 -> 15 Degrees)
Increased Timelock's max duration (5 -> 6s)
Reduced Timelock's Winded requirement for each second added to its duration (10 -> 5 Winded)
Increased Manastorm’s Arcanist requirement (1 -> 4)

ARCHER
More Focus 2 and Cheaper Arrow Bomb 2 have swapped positions.
Minefield and Cheaper Arrow Bomb 2 now connect to each other.

Reduced Elusive’s time to activate (5 -> 4s)
Reduced Focus’ damage buff per Focus (20 -> +15%)
Increased Arrow Shield’s horizontal knockback (1.3 -> 1.5)
Increased Better Arrow Shield’s horizontal knockback buff (0.3 -> 0.5)
Increased Escape’s launch height (1.1 -> 1.3)
Increased Grappling Hook’s range (26 -> 30 blocks)
Increased Stronger Hook’s range buff (4 -> 8 blocks)
Increased Guardian Angels’ range (5 -> 6 blocks)
Added a range buff to Better Guardian Angels (0 -> 2 blocks)
Reduced All-Seeing Panoptes’ range buff (7 -> 4 blocks)
Increased Escape Artist’s damage per hit (Neutral: 70 -> 100%, Thunder: 30 -> 50%)
Increased Arrow Rain’s damage per hit (Neutral: 100 -> 150%, Air: 50 -> 100%)
Increased Fierce Stomp’s damage (Neutral: 100 -> 120%)
Increased Geyser Stomp’s damage (Water: 50 -> +80%)
More Shields now reduces Guardian Angels’ damage per shot (Neutral: 0 -> -15%)
Better Arrow Shield now increases Guardian Angels’ damage per shot (Neutral: 0 -> +3%)

WARRIOR
Air Shout has been moved to Counter's previous position.
Counter has been moved between Cheaper Uppercut 1 and Aerodynamics as an optional node.
Precise Strikes has been moved to Ambidextrous' previous position.
Ambidextrous has been moved between Radiant Devotee and Whirlwind Strike as an optional node.
Air Shout is now a Battle Monk ability.
Counter now has no archetype affiliation.

Reduced Half-Moon Swipe’s range buff (3 -> 1.5 blocks)
Reduced Whirlwind Strike’s damage (Neutral: 0 -> -20%, Air: 50 -> +30%)
Increased Axe Kick’s damage (Neutral: 100 -> +150%)
Increased Axe Kick’s mana cost (10 -> 15)
Thunderclap no longer converts all elements to thunder
Thunderclap now adds extra damage to Bash per hit (Thunder: 0 -> +25%)
Thunderclap now correctly doubles the speed of Bash
Iron Lungs now increases Air Shout’s damage (Neutral: 0 -> +15%, Air: 0 -> +15%)
Reduced Enraged Blow’s damage buff per 1% health lost (2 -> +1.5%)
Reduced Enraged Blow’s damage cap (160 -> 120%)
Whirlwind Strike is now a red node

ASSASSIN
Lacerate now locks out Echo instead of Mirror Image
Stronger Multihit has been moved between Sandbagging and Hop as an optional node.

Reduced Double Spin’s cast time (8 -> 4 ticks)
Reduced Weightless’ Acrobat requirement (4 -> 3)
Reduced Ricochets’ AP cost (2 -> 1)
Ricochets is now a white node

SHAMAN
Regeneration has been moved between Cheaper Totem 2 and Storm Dance as an optional node.

Increased Puppet Master’s max puppets (2 -> 3)
Reduced Puppet Master’s damage (Neutral: 5 -> 12%, Earth: 10 -> 3%, Air: 10 -> 3%)
Removed More Puppets 1’s damage decrease (Air: -5 -> 0%)
Removed More Puppets 2’s damage decrease (Earth: -5 -> 0%)
Reduced Crimson Effigy’s damage (Neutral: 40 -> 30%, Water: 40 -> 30%)
Reduced More Effigies’ damage decrease (Neutral: -20 -> -15%)
Reduced Sacrificial Shrine’s Aura damage boost (50 -> +35%)
Increased Twister Tether’s health cap (10 -> 20%)
Increased Twister Tether’s damage (Neutral: 15 -> 25%)
Reduced Blood Sorrow’s blood pool cost (70 -> 60%)
Increased Blood Sorrow’s overflowing health per hit (3% -> 4%)
Reduced Blood Sorrow’s overflowing health decay time (10 -> 15s)
Reduced Blood Sorrow’s Acolyte requirement (13 -> 12)

I get fallens enraged blow was strong, but there has been consistent nerfs on its op ability, and yet most of the fallen tree is still useless.

Anything after massacre of fallen archetype is straight up wasting ability points

EDIT: Those assassin changes to ricochet are nice and all, but trickster stronger clones for some reason costs 2 AP still, being the only white node that costs 2 AP in the game

Fallen's tree after massacre is a waste? Imagine forgetting Haemorrhage exists

 

Even with it blood pact barely helps, you could try run a uppercut build but you wont get very far in the bmonk tree
