Do you hate Cataclysm's negative ehp? Do you hate Nirvana's low damage (and bad ehp) ? Do you hate Oblivion's negative mana regen? Here I will showcase this immensely powerful, cheap, and underrated dagger! Inferno - Yes, the melee dagger that was often said to be useless for dealing spell damage, but somehow I find it extremely powerful to use with Acrobat. Why is Inferno good? Because it is capable of dealing very high damage while having amazing survivability! Lets look at 2 example builds to see how good is this weapon.

As you can see, even without tomes, the damage and health is pretty good with this weapon, spell cost and mana sustain are also not bad. While it does lack pure damage comparing to Cataclysm, it have very balanced amounts of health and damage and overall more rounded stats. Comparing this to Nirvana, it have slightly higher damage and slightly better survivability, but despite the lack of the Nirvana major ID, I believe that it is a better choice as it does not have negative health and have more base dps.

Finally, the most important reason why Inferno is good is because, it is crazy cheap atm. As most of the stats do not matter for spelldmg on Inferno, any shit quality Inferno would work well for spell, and because how bad Assassin is rn, you can get an Inferno for less than 2stx! This is very affordable for most players unlike the highly inflated price of Cataclysm and Nirvana.

    WynnBuilder build:
    > Caesura
    > Libra
    > Greaves of the Veneer
    > Pro Tempore
    > Suppression
    > Draoi Fair
    > Back-Up Plan
    > Contrast
    > Black [t6t6t6]

But Black can reach that damage and survivability easily due to flexible-low sp requirement while having high base damage..

And the other mythic daggers are special in their own way but Inferno.. it's ambiguous.

Since it's acrobat, the main attack spells : Lacerate and Multihit are both delayed/lengthed attacks, means they are less spammable unlike other classes. Which means, required mana for those classes aren't big (From the experience, infinite flight is possible around 40mr already : Dash-Lacerate-Hop cycle)

Also weightless is part of sustain when it gets into battle, so I doubt mana is actually an advantage for it.

...unless you're playing like linny who is keep using lacerate on ground

im just saying in terms of mythic daggers inferno is quite underrated for it's low pricepoint, nulli is underrated too but it have boring design. i barely have any experience with assassin tho but i have played with most mythic daggers and could solo greg with acrobat

I thought inferno is dropping because if was designed to be tstack or at least hybrid but rn assassin archetypes don’t support its design very well. Nirv cata and weath outclass inferno in the current meta simply because they’re designed to be spell weapons. Nirv for example can usually hit 17-20k lacerates while having around 50k ehp and high hpr, but inferno when trying to go spell, while also hitting around 17k lacerates, loses out on the life sustain and like 20k of ehp of nirvana builds. Inferno might re-enter the meta once assassin archetypes finish getting redesigned but right now the weapon’s mechanics just arent supported too well
