Is Gale Impossible or Just Me?

I’m currently on the Air Division of the Hive, and I’ve died 10+ times to her so far. Not because of her stats or anything; her custom boss spells give me intense lag spikes. Is anyone else having similar issues?

FYI, I’m a level 97 shaman with 16k HP and 65% defense, so it’s not just from shaman’s low defense.

 

Have you set your particles to low by doing /particles low ? I didn’t have much trouble with the air division, the water division was way harder.

I struggle on Gale as well, but it's probably just that I'm using a build that I randomly threw together. With this build, I get 2 - 3 tapped by Gale.

 

So.... no ones gonna talk about how crazy solar vanguard is mk.

Yeah, seems so. I didnt have any lag spikes during her fight.

 

I literally just wiped my computer and installed Sodium to get rid of other lag issues too…

 

i beat gale as a lv94 warrior (no morph) 15k ehp so uh, skill issue?

 

Idk what is it is; I don’t think she’s really hard either, even with her new script spells. It’s just that one of them might be to give my laptop a stroke.

The only real advice I can provide is try running Vanilla Minecraft to see if you experience the same problem, since mods = lag, in some form or another. I've personally never experienced this lag spike issue, so I do find it strange that turning off particles did not seem to fix the issue.

 

The Hive's bosses in each division are very balanced and do not need to be tweaked at all.

 

Apologies for the necro, but I want to update this thread to let everyone know what the real cause of the issue was in case anyone in the future has it.

So it wasn't actually anything to do with Minecraft or the hardware per se. It was that the laptop was stuck in ultra low power mode, which caused my CPU to be stuck at 0.78 GHz no matter what was actually running. Usually you can just plug and unplug the original power adaptor, but in my case I had to remove the battery and plug it back in to reset it. Now I'm getting 200+ FPS with Sodium, Lithium, and Phosphorus!
