I understand how backstab works hit an enemy in the back and they take double damage but like programming wise how does that work? Did you have to add a damage check to see if it is an enemy back or not? I am genuinely curious how this was coded in.

Probably just checks if you are facing the same direction as the mob, because to hit it in the back you need to be facing the same way as it

I know this because I have seen people backstab mobs while the mob is behind them by the mobs holitbox still being reachable by the spell

This changes everything, is it possible to hit a backstab from the side then? If so then the eye is stupidly easy with shade stepper.

If you stand right in front of the build itself and look away from the build then you will hit backstab. Remember the actual mob you are damaging is in front of the eye.

Also if the cone is starting from the back corners of a hitbox then no you cannot side stab like tf2. 70 degrees kinda looks like this (assuming, again, the cone starts from back corners): upload_2022-11-3_23-7-36.jpeg
