Flameshot Hilt




So, what is this weapon?
"Melee Build" weapon? You're not wrong.




Due to its very high base damage, it's often used for assassin tier stack melee build.

For many years, since 2016, it's always been like that. Like, were there any other choices?

But now.. there's problem..

"Assassin tier stack is dead!"


With Wynncraft 2.0 update, almost every builds were able to get very high amount of dps compared to previous times. It was same for some melee builds, but.. not assassin tier stack melee build.

Why is that? The reason was simple. There were almost no damage support for it.
While every builds are getting boosts with ability trees, what kind of boost can tier stack assassin have?
The answer is.. almost nothing. Vanish is changed, and most abilities are based on spells.
Because of this issue, assassin tier stack melee build couldn't catch the dps of current meta.

Due to death of assassin tier stack, flameshot hilt was also ditched from people.
However...



We've only seen its base damage, but we missed something.




The Spell Cost

This is insanely high amount of negative spell cost. So I thought..

"This must be useful for something!"


So I started making build, using that amount of spell cost.
And I reached this result..



2 mana cost backstab!!
you can reach 1 ofc

With Shadestepper archtype, you're supposed to stack mark and wait for vanish, then use backstab for great damage.
However, with Flameshot Hilt, with this mana cost, I can just spam it while waiting for next backstab!
Which means, with the ultimate spam of frontstab, I can make great damage output!

Based. I was a huge fan of @hppeng's version from 1.20 so this is refreshing to see!

 

The 1.20 flameshot was kinda :agony: because that spell cost was barely an advantage..
Anyway yes it's inspired from his!

tanky flameshot spell build I legitimately used up to (and a bit during) 2.0. Super easy really low cost multi and vanish, subpar damage but who cares when nothing kills you?

When did it got that 3rd cost buff, that looks insanely broken

 

The 3rd spell cost itself is added on 1.20.4, but it didn't get much notice (except @hppeng) because it didn't really help with 1.20 mana design
And spell cost is changed like that on 2.0, just like every other spell cost items.

 

what is the benifit of clones cus isnt multi a close range spell so clones wont hit anything

 

He doesn’t have echo, so clones don’t recast his spells or lower his damage output. They just help absorb damage from time to time.
