I'm stuck on the A Headless History Fight

Heyhey,

While leveling my mage, I was doing the Realm Of Light III - A Headless History quest, and I'm stuck on the part where you fight the Warden of Wisdom.

Whenever I fight it, and I kill it, it just respawns. The door doesn't open, so I'm stuck fighting it again. After seeing video's and guide's on the quest, I've seen that this isn't part of the fight, and it's not a second phase or something. I guess I don't have great DPS and it might take a minute for me to take it down but even after getting better gear I still apparently can't kill it fast enough.

Can anyone help me out with this? Or is there any advice to the fight?

PS: My build is currently a lvl 67 Lightbender Mage and I use a Sage which I'm trying to replace. What would be a good weapon upgrade?

 

Afaik, splitting into multiple clones IS part of its fight's gimmick. Though not 100% certain, I believe when you get hit by a certain attack is when it splits, so just keep killing it and you should get through eventually.

 

Ohm's Wish is a good upgrade, buy from trade market
Sage is literally only really used for the high XP bonus it has, not for damage
