How can you quit Order of the Groot?

Timing puzzles just aren't my thing and I usually don't finish those. I will /kill and do something else. I was at the thunder puzzle. Checked the wiki and it says move the devices around. I have no idea how to move them. Left click, right click, try pushing; nothing works. So I /kill. I am back in Llevigar. I do some things there, going to the market as I sold something, putting something else up and messing with stuff in my enderchest. I disconnect. Coonect again later and I am back in Grootwarts. I /kill again, thinking maybe I hadn't changed the context enough not leaving Llevigar, so I go to Troms and start another quest. Got killed and I am in Obiju village. I disconnect. I connect later and I am back in Grootworks.

Sometimes I watch a video to get through a puzzle, but the video I found made different class choices, so no help.

How can I get this to stop?

 

Unfortunately you're stuck with whatever classes you pick for that quest. The only way to "Quit" the quest is to simply not do it

 

I don't want to pick anything different. I just want to not do the quest at all, but I started before realizing what it would be. So right now to play, I to start there, /kill and lose 2 soul points, be in Llevigar, then go where I want to play and play for a while. If I disconnect or get bumped off, I have to do all that again. I will poke around some more and see if there is some mechanic I am missing to make the game do anything, but I would really prefer to quit the quest.

 

the devices have buttons on the bottom, click to pick up, them move to the next square that the tesla coil is going to laucnh at, i think it shows it in a pattern on the ground. simply repeat till end. im not sure if this explanation is good cuz i havent done that quest in a while

 

actually, it takes me back to where I last respawned or would have been my last respawn point. so it is easier to continue than I thought. I just did /kill and I am back in Obiju. I will run over to Troms and get the wand and book out of the ender chest , keep them in inventory and see if I can figure out the way to muddle through it the next time I reconnect.

Yeah the only way to quit is to just not do it

 

This time it brought me back to Ibiju, where I was when I disconnected.

 

Not my day. Now I am at the end of the quest I was trying to do in Iboju, Lost in the Jungle. I click on Aryn, the kid who had been possessed by the spirit I defeated and he asks "who are you and why have you come here?". I press shift and he says nothing else. Clcik again, he says the line again, press shift, nothing.

 

What does your quest book say you need to do?

 

Disconnected and reconnected again and didn't go back to Grootwarts! So maybe you can quit. I am back with Aryn and this quest is still bugging out. I guess I will just walk out without the stone.

I got booted and on reconnect, I am back with Aryn The bug there persists. If I try to leave via the portal, it says I should make sure Aryn is okay first. But when I tried to head back up the stairs, it let me out through a shortcut and then closed up behind me. I can live with that; just put these two quests behind me unless it sends me to Grooworts jail again.

 

Have you tried leaving the room? Normally after defeating his possessed version, you have to attempt to leave the room and then your quest book will update, where you then can speak with him in his normal child form

 

I will try that, but he was in his normal child form and says the first line of dialog.

 

Turns out you can. After 2 or 3 times, it finally starts leaving you where you wee when you disconnected instead of forcing you back there.

It is really wigged out. I went back and had possessed Aryn and the boss to fight again. Beat them and then I guess I didn't get out of the room fast enough and they came back again, catching me off guard and I died. Quest still reads "Make sure Aryn is okay". I'm just going to assume he is fine and go on about life...

 

Sounds like you just need to exit the room via the teleporter (black blocks) in time after you beat him. Quests usually have a failsafe and let you restart a stage if you die during it

 

I also now have an untradable item that is a mysterious jewel about the right color. Gracen doesn't want to chat though. No big deal to me. Glad I can move on.
