So, I have spent weeks experimenting with Archer archetypes. At first, all the archetypes feel weak to me in terms of damage. Boltslinger does bad damage, Sharpshooter does high but not sustained damage, and trapper does ok damage. But they are all not as good and fun as the original Archer. So I found this ability called Focus, Focus isnt very good when using pure Sharpshooter, because it is incredibly hard to charge up the focus and cerp ray just ruins everything, and even with max focus, you dont deal much damage. So I decided to mix focus with Grape bomb and all the arrow bomb abilities, this results in 70k base damage with 1 arrow bomb, this damage also gets boosted by cruse and heart shatter, resulting in around 160-200k damage per shot from my testings. And the craziest of all, it have very good mana sustain and mana costs, with 20 bomb cost and 90 mr, you can effectively cycle your spells while never running out of mana. My highest damage with a spell cycle of training dummy was 1mil dps.



Yes, thats a lot of damage. And thats not all, after a few bombs, the fire creep and scorched earth abilities all stack up, dealing around 200-300k extra dps for a very long time.

Lets round up the stats of this build, 41k EHP, 90 mr, and a shit ton of dps.

There might be crafted items in this build but they are extremely common on the market and can be found easily. Replace Resu with Silt of the seafloor if you are broke. Chestplate can be Time rift but bad ehp.

The dps showed on the training dummy is not actually sustainable, i can reach around 400-500k with proper spell cycle

 

Woah. I don’t know much about builds but this looks insane. One question, what are the benefits of using spring in this build over other bows?

 

I personally use spring for mr, but i do know other bows can deal more dps than this. I am going to do a similar thread with divzer soon

 

Uhhhh I think like 45% of your mr comes just from spring

 

yes i love mr, divzer way more dps but i only care about sustain

 

i tested many divzer builds with this setup and they deal less damage than spring. divzer have way too much negative fire damage
