Elemental exercise - done except the weapon merchant doesn't have the study results

I had not done this one earlier for some reason and I got into completeness mode (even went back and got the stuff for the cook) so I took the study results that I had (I had originally misunderstood the directions and headed back to town to trade and no one would) and gave it to the weapon merchant who gave me a fire bow. Did the cave, came back to Ragon who told me to get the study results from Stiba in exchange for the fire bow. Only Stiba doesn't have them in his inventory. Ragon just says "please follow my instructions" when I right click him. I tried having Stiba turn me down for buying everything he had and the inventory never has the book.

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting. No joy...

I really wouldn't care if I hadn't decided to complete everything.

 

There is a merchant that buys the weapon and gives you study results :D

Yeah, I did look at that. First 5 stages all done as scripted. First step in 6 is to trade the fire bow to the weapon merchant for the study results, but he doesn't have the study results. I still have the fire bow and stopped by a couple of times since while doing other quests

 

I reported it and an issue with Misadventures on the sea. Getting less hung up on finishing everything as I advance.
