The vendor standing in the jeweler's store is a very old human man. The first time you ask him about the hair clip, he has to lean in and ask you to repeat yourself. Eventually you get you question across, and he begins to describe the item's properties.
A small accessory embedded with magical diamonds, this magic item slightly strengthens Eonic magical power, and give the wearer access to the Ice Knife spell
(ooc fyi these items are all dnd based so most of their effects are meant for combat, something which doesn't work too well with pure rp)

 

Cool but what does ice knife do? If you just summon a ice knife then I can also do that.

You create a shard of ice and fling it at one creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 piercing damage. Hit or miss, the shard then explodes. The target and each creature within 5 feet of it must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 cold damage.

Of the three items, the crystal bow seems to be the most powerful. As you step up to the stand and begin to ask about the bow, you hear in your head a deep voice.
"I do not submit to the meak."
Whisper hears the same voice, or at least you infer from how she reacts as you hear the voice

 

Ayo was in shop class working. I would like to channel all my Eonic power into the bow.

You try and channel your Eonic power from the Divines, but there isn't exactly a medium for you to transfer it through. If you want to shoot ice at it, it doesn't react.
You see Whisper focus for a moment before hearing another thought in your head: "A crude method. However, the crudest methods demonstrate one's power most effectively."
The shopkeep, an adult elf, gives you a joyful look, and asks "So, you can speak with them as well."

 

I ask the shopkeep what the bow is/does

“They go by the name Regene.” (OOC [rə-jēn] hes talking about the bow) “From the identifiers I’ve been to so far I know it’s a very unique item–having gotten it myself during a raid on a dragon’s horde–but the idea of having another sentient voice in my head doesn’t feel so grand, so I’ve yet to test out its true potential.”

Whisper is very intrigued after he says the last part.

(OOC Whisper sounds like the curious type)

“I offered it for 40,000 gp originally, but no one here’s really into the sentient magic items. A few collectors came by, but the price scared them off. Since then I lowered it a few times, so it’s at 25,000 now. I’d rather not let it go for less, but if you’ve got items to trade I’m always open to the idea.”

 

I would like to buy all three items. I will put the hairpin on and give the cloak and bow to Whisper. “Do not put the cloak on yet Whisper. Wait until you absolutely need it.”
