The Totem Game

Shaman Totems.

We all know them.
They cast Aura.
And that's about it, really.

Well, it's your job to protect a totem.
Or not.
You can do whatever you want, with almost no restrictions.

There must always be a way for someone to interact with the Totem, no inside jokes for this. And, everyone must be allowed to interact with the Totem.
Don't explain just what you interact with, explain how you interacted.
Don't disregard other posts or just say "no". Kinda ruins the fun if you can just override someone else's actions, eh?
You shouldn't do "I stole the Totem from Enderae."
You should do "I broke into Enderae's house, crept into his living room, and stole the Totem."
You can not do more than one post in a row.
However, there is a twist. Since this is a Totem, you can cast spells for it.


You may not cast Totem, that's cheating.

You can also cast Haul, launching you towards the totem if you don't know where it is. However, again, you can not go through walls or liquids. You can only cast this once per post.

Aura basically just hurts nearby people, as Aura normally does. If someone has the totem on the next post after you, they will be forced to account for major injuries. You can use this to foil any possible plans. This does not include yourself. If protected with a very weak material, such as glass, Aura will shatter the weak material. You may cast this as often as you wish.

Uproot will reset the Totem duration. If there is 10 posts without an Uproot, the game will end and will reset to the starting prompt. Uprooting also counts as a post, and if you Uproot, you may not do anything else in that post.

You can play by describing what you see and how you interact with the totem. I'll start:
The totem is sitting in the middle of @Enderae's living room, on the couch.

 

I crash my car into Enderae's house, catch it on fire, watch as it crumbles, then find the totem in the debris and take it home.

The police come to arrest me and I take the totem to prison with me.

 

I steal the totem by tunneling into the prison and sell it to a blacksmith

 

before the blacksmith can turn the totem into scrap, i kidnap him, force him to give me the totem, and run away to the himalayas, hiding the totem in a snow bank guarded by polar bears that i teleported there

 

I use the tunnel CatFan105 conveniently left for me, trek to the Himalayas and search for the totem but uhhh,
I seem to have lost the trail.

Turns out I'm Paladin and resurrected Aha.
I Haul.

 

As if dragged by some magnificent, magical tether, you land, gasping for breath, on top of a snow back in the Himalayan mountains.

 

I dig for it, then freeze to death in the cold.

 

I spam Haul until I'm up towards that totem.

my totem digs itself out from the snowbank and starts crying for namak

With proper clothing for the cold, I take the totem, catch a flight to the Svalbard Global Seed Vault (I work there) and hide it in one of its chambers.

The snow nibbled away at my sanity. Though, being out here, maybe I had already lost my sanity. Now, it plunged into the negatives.
Each frozen breeze in the air plummeted my body temperature by unfathomable amounts. Drop. Drop. Drop. Each second the cold further consumed me.
My fingers felt frosted to the core and shook, like each under their own seizure.
I took another step forward, feet sinking into the thickly layered snow. It fell into my immersed boots, wetting the socks beneath. The conditions of my feet became perfect to grow mold with, if only the temperature rose.
I raised a hand to shield my eyes from the snow blowing in the wind, stinging my bare skin like an army of vengeful bees.
A gust of wind revealed something in the distance. A piece of tan wood jutting out from the plane of endless white.
The totem.
I hurried my steps. Crunch, crunch, crunch. The snow fell away beneath my feet.
I outstretched a mittened hand towards the wood, stroking it.
With a smile rising up my face, I sighed.
Finally, I had found it.
Now I just needed to haul it down the mountains and get it to someplace safe and secure.
I groaned, collapsing on my knees, falling into the snow.
My work was far from done.
