there's literally no reason not to let them join, you both get the full loot and it just ends quicker

4x basic attack (shouldn't I have 20 mana instead of 10? since bursts costs only 40)

 

if you continuously use a spell it increases its cost
but it doesn't matter unless you dip below 0 because it replenishes every turn
you can use burst twice again

 

This fights are so funn, I have so much options. so I use the same!
