It can be weapons, armor, accessories, anything.

Right now I have:
- Qira Hive Items
- LI Items
- All the Mythics

What do you guys think are the most meta items?

 

Demon tide is heavily used in the current meta

for example look at this build, well it's using some bad leggings, chestplate, boots and accesories which you can replace - even removing them wouldn't make a significant diffrence

Discounting mythics, li, and Hive items, we have:

• Most + attack speed tier items( Second Wind, Centipede, Tisuan’s Valor, Calidade Mail, Nether’s Scar, Nephilim etc..)
  
• Intless spell items (Brainwash, Demon Tide, Summa, etc)
• Spellspam or mana regen items (Aquarius, Anamenisis, Moon Pool, etc..)
• Items with powerful major IDs(Nighthawk, Time Rift, Infernal Impulse (You might also fit Conspirator’s Trickpockets in here too))
• Leveling gear(Cosmic, adventurer’s set, and yes, even morph)
• Mana steal-based and negative attack speed items(Black, Tenuto, etc..)
• Skill point boosters(Vaward, Prism, Blue Mask, etc)
• Lootrunning gear(Diamond Dust, King of Hearts(can also fit into the mana regen category), Emerald Staff)
• Tank and support gear(Hetusol, Cancer?, etc..)
• Melee damage boosters(Taurus, etc..)

Of course, there are plenty of others that don’t fit in these specific categories, such poison and movement speed items. However, since those are fairly sparse, I won’t be fitting them in these broad categories.

I really like this question and enjoyed reading some of the responses.

I personally think Wynncraft has done a nice job balancing items by making the feel “niche” as in optimized to a certain playstyle.

Therefore I define meta in Wynncraft as the items that transcend a single archetype with their prevalence.

I’m talking about the items that can be added to many builds and outperform most of the competition like Cancer, Medeis, Demon Tide, Greaves of the Veneer, Vaward, Prowess, Contrast just to name a few(they tend to be skill point boosters)

I think @Buff wind prison hit many of the items but I think it’s hard to do a tier list with Wynncraft because of the division of the items into playstyles as I mentioned above. I think there are so many items that are good or very usable within their optimum playstyle - which is what makes class building fun to me. I think that many of these items are overlooked because they are outclassed by the most meta item within their respective playstyle but they are certainly not weak.

but now that i think about it, i do agree
i like how wynn doesnt have a meta
sure there is tstack item meta, but what about spell items? hmelee items? there’s not rly a meta for those
i mean there kinda is, but more weaker/niche options are still viable

i wish there was more kinds of builds tho
e. take an item named “Downfall” as a hypothetical example, a necklace with like -9500 hp, but a ton of defense and strength stats for EWF
then, youd have to build around that, using items like leo, crusade sabatons, to make sure you domt have -1 hp

e2. take an item named “Rainstorm” hypothetically, gives you all the mana sustain you need, but kills your life sustain
kinda like knucklebones but the whole point is to cancel the negative stats
e.3 take an item named “Risen” hypothetically, that is a fast hybrid oriented weapom, with large spell and melee potential. the spell potential is already on the weapon, but you need to tierstack it up, as it has a bunch of raw melee damage for you to enjoy


these are all hypotheticals, but an interesting concept nonetheless
i might make these items and give it to my builder friend @Enderae and @Namakobushi to experiment with

one last wish i have for wynn items is simply a bit more defined roles, more items with positives and drawbacks, not just purely positives
