    Toxoplasmosis hunters.

    We all hate them.

Marauders, wandering Wynn, Gavel, and Corkus with their deadly reliks, ready to kill all in sight. They’ve been known to keep entire towns hostage for Liquid Emeralds, because a single Totem could kill them all.
    They need to be stopped.

Too many have died to their cowardly, lazy tactics of casting a Totem and slaughtering entire villages.
Here’s how to fight these villains.
(Note this was written before Assassin released on beta, though we have tried to update with more accurate information.)

    Assassin Archetypes

    Shadestepper -

Your Vanish is of utmost importance. Stay in it and hide anywhere. Whether it is the nooks and crannies of a monster-riddled cave or the roofs of Detlas, you must hide.
Remember that his totem has AoE poison, and if you get hit ONCE, you DIE a slow, painful death.

When he’s distracted or off his guard, Vanish down, Smoke Bomb as you’re falling, and backstab him with your Multihit. If all goes well, he should be dead. If he’s not, retreat IMMEDIATELY. Live to fight another day. At the first opportunity, dodge into a hole or alleyway and throw some Smoke Bombs down it if he follows. Keep being in Vanish. It’s your only hope.

Repeat as many times as it takes. You can call some friends or guildmates to help you, and eradicating this threat to human rights is of utmost importance. The loss of that Toxoplasmosis could mean hundreds of lives saved.

    Acrobat -

Your primary objective is to go all over the place. Use your Lacerate, Dash, and Hop abilities to keep your mobility up, as being hit by any beam or totem AoE will result in your immediate death. Your agility* is of utmost importance, as it is the only way to reduce the damage of Poison by 90%, going from somewhere upwards of 20,000 damage, to a staggeringly low 2,000, which you can take, especially if a mage is nearby.

The most popular method is while keeping in the air, spam down Smoke Bombs as much as you can to slowly drain the enemy, and regain mana. No matter if the enemy only loses 1 health per second, it’s your only chance to see another day. Whatever you do, do not cast Multihits. This will lock your target in front of you, allowing them to easily hit you with a beam.

However, if you know how to use your spells right, you can quickly Dash and Hop away, as shaman movement is relatively slow compared to those two combined. If walls are nearby, use Hop and walljump instead.

    Trickster -

Not much is known about Tricksters, but from the one Trickster we keep imprisoned in our office, we know some things about them.
Have your clones up as much as possible, spamming spells. Remember, he must be extremely careful, because if he kills a single one with an unwary Uproot to the face, it will explode, leaving him vulnerable for a devastating Multihit or Spin Attack.
Don't forget to have your smoke bombs up at all time so you can cloak yourself with constant invisibility.
Due to the necessity of a Totem to use their movement spells, and as Totems deal damage, surround them with Clones and Smoke Bombs.

If they can’t move, you can checkmate them with an R-R-L, or a Smoke Bomb to the face. If they somehow manage to get out, your best hope is to read your Bible vigorously, because you’ll need it.

    Mage Archetypes

    Enderae -

i don’t think this is a mage archetype

what can i say except “delete this”

    Riftwalker -

Congratulations, you got a D20 on your advantage roll!

Fire off Ice Snake after Ice Snake, you MUST keep them as far as possible from you to prevent you from getting infected with CringeTM.
With the Winded you’re getting from those Ice Snakes, you can start throwing down Meteors. But the main aim is to keep them AWAY from you. You can spam Teleports if needed, but not recommended in cities.
Once you think you have enough Winded, go into Timelock, then launch a flurry of attacks and hope they hit.
Due to your Agility training as a Riftwalker, you can risk a hit or two, but it’s extremely dangerous.

Also, you can apply for the mythical Warp, loaned to citizens who sign a contract that they’ll attempt to hunt down Toxoplasmosis users, at enderae.warp.scam. You can then use it to wear them down with Teleport after Teleport, buzzing around them like the annoying pest you are.
A skilled Riftwalker is the perfect Toxoplasmosis counter.

    Arcanist -

Congratulations, you got a 0 on your advantage roll. You’re literally so dead.
Accept your fate, and cry in a corner like the baby you are.
If you do want to try to defend yourself, just spam Meteor and Ice Snake, and pray to whoever you believe in. If you’re an atheist, I don’t even know, just hope or something.

    Lightbender -

    You… have a chance.

Just run and teleport away like the coward you are, while summoning orbs to destroy the vile beast after you. If you get hit, start using the Heal spell, and you MIGHT be able to live, albeit injured.
Summon Ice Snakes to freeze the Toxo user, then rain down death upon them using your Ophanim orbs.
    *deep breaths*
Anyways, that’s all we have to say. Maybe you can bend light and disappear, since you’re a Lightbender, but you should probably make your grades disappear instead.
    Remember to keep healing.
    Or else.

    Archer Archetypes

    Sharpshooter -

    I’m sorry.
    You’re dead.

You can try to cast Escape away, and you might make it, but that requires more luck than getting struck by lightning 17 times in a row in 1934 during Christmas on July 4th.

You can go in for a melee Ambivalence Arrow Shield, but it won’t work.

    Boltslinger -

Boltslinger is pretty good for anti-Toxoplasmosis action. You have insane speed from hitting arrows and also a flurry of arrows, some homing. Your best chance is to have erratic, backward movement while making your bowstring regret being used.

Just keep moving and shooting, and with enough luck, they’ll finally fall to the flurry of arrows.
Unlike other classes, if the Shaman gets in close but you haven’t been hit, you can dash off while still shooting arrows.

Your Panoptes are of utmost importance. Their tracking bolts can easily decimate an evil Toxoplasmosis abuser.
Remember, just keep moving and shooting, and you’ll get him eventualy. The only issue is if you get tired, but you can always slap on an Ornithopter.

    Trapper -

The Trapper is extremely useful when dealing with these dangerous pests, these T-Toxoplasmosis users.

Your Bomb Arrows create Traps, amazing for controlling the movement of the Toxoplasmosis user. Your Arrow Storms also summon roots from the ground, slowing the marauder for your arrows to finish him off.

Plus, your Bouncing Arrows in conjunction with your hounds will lead to a swift demise for the criminal.

The Trapper section is short because it represents the lifespan of a Toxo user coming up against a Trapper.

    Warrior Archetypes

    Fallen -

    Just like Sharpshooter, you’re dead.

Due to needing low health to have maximum damage, you can’t proc Corrupted properly, making you basically as weak as a level 7 Warrior.

    Battle Monk -

Due to the nature of your spellspam and crowd control, you do have a fighting chance.
Your best bet is to Uppercut the enemy and use Charge to move them around, distracting them from placing their totem properly, or landing their hits.
You have the option of a dangerous offensive attack, a Charge right at them in conjunction with a Flying Kick to the face, then firing off a Bash or Uppercut, and repeating until you’ve succeeded. Firing off War Scream after War Scream keeps them back. If they attempt to advance, fire off a Bash or War Scream.

    Paladin -

This archetype has the most potential out of almost all of the archetypes.
Due to all of the following passives, it is insane:
    • Second Chance (A free revive)
    • Mantle of the Bovemists (-70% damage for multiple hits, 20s cooldown)
    • Rejuvenating Skin (probably won’t be that useful, but can if you just get hit only once or twice)
    • Radiance (buffing your identifications is helpful)
Yeah, nerf Paladin. Do I need to elaborate?

    Shaman Archetypes

    Summoner -

    You’re a Summoner.
Unfortunately, what you are not is intelligent.
So unfortunately, we need to take the brunt of your nonexistent knowledge and replace it with our own.

Totem into Haul doesn’t have much vertical momentum, so this is going to be heavily reliant on CPS and Walk Speed.

Keep running, because if you look back or slip on a pebble, your life is over and that’s it. The time your Totem is down means your summons are there, and their knives can shred an average Toxoplasmosis abuser in time. Make sure you have a good knowledge of your surroundings, which unfortunately you probably don’t, as you spend most of your life in your mother’s basement eating pizza and drinking soda.

Seriously, stop reading our article and go outside. Don’t worry about the Toxoplasmosis users for a moment and look at the beautiful amber sun, and the vividly green grass.

    You’re back?
    Probably not.
For some reason, you’re allergic to going outside, which is probably why your skin looks like Darth Vader’s.
Anyways, that’s about it. There is more but I don’t want to strain your miniscule, almond-sized brain even more.

Your summons have range. Lots of it. Place your totem, far away from them, and let your summons do the work. Due to your summons and effigy not having a health bar, they are no match. Optionally, build for walkspeed so that if they do start rushing you with more totems, just run away.

    Ritualist -

Just like Trickster, we do not know much about them. However, we have one locked up because we just ignore the men in blue uniforms with guns, and we interrogat- AHEM asked him some questions.
With enough agility, you should be able to survive a couple poison ticks, but you definitely can’t afford to live another one. It’ll be a war of attrition, and one you must win to live to see another day.
Reaction time is highly important as a brave Ritualist going up against an evil Toxoplasmosis user. The second a beam comes darting towards you, you MUST dodge, which is how I got this concussion after throwing myself into an anvil.
Swap out whatever ugly mask you’re wearing for a good, pure, clean white one. They’ve been known to increase agility and movement speed.
If you like playing Russian roulette, you can go in for the kill with a Uproot-Totem-Haul-Aura, relying on your Agility.
Toxoplasmosis users are cowards and probably don’t expect you to be going on the offensive, so if they run, hit them with an Uproot in the back to not let them escape, and to finish them off for good.

    Acolyte -

Great, another archetype we know almost nothing about. However, I (Endistic) am one myself, so I’ll tell you what to do.
For one, do not panic. You are going to lose health, very quickly. Again, do not panic. Start going into your totem to fuel up your Blood Pool, to the point where it’s unessecary, while running and moving your totem away. Once you get as much as you can, go in for the kill, and try to stay out of your totem. If you get hit, it is not as much of a worry as you’d think, as using your blood pool will heal you back up. Try to build for defense and agility, so you have a larger health pool to work with, and you have a chance to dodge the poison hits.

    Conclusion

Unless you're a select few archetypes, with some skills, you should be able to handle the Toxoplasmosis user if you practice. However, if you’re an Arcanist or Sharpshooter…. good luck.

If you're a Mage, try your best to outheal and spam Heal.
If you’re an Archer, keep your distance and stay out of their beams and totem. Do not approach.
If you’re a Shaman, just fight back the Toxoplasmosis with your own Toxoplasmosis, or Aura them to death from a range.
If you’re an Assassin, keep calm, and don’t panic. Just play normally but keep your distance. You can do this.
If you’re a Warrior, try your best to either combo the enemy or just tank the damage.

With that out of the way, good luck on defeating the next Toxoplasmosis user that hunts you. Hope this guide helps!

Arcanist actually is the best archetype against toxo hunters, just get the chaos explosion and psychokinesis upgrades and use time rift+pandemonium+pure and spam meteors with your eyes closed, the toxo hunter will literally go blind from the particle spam before they manage to kill you
